  1. Last October i contacted BT, as i had just moved into a newly built house, to get a phone line. They said it would be cheaper for installation if i had a package with them, So i said i'd have calls and broadband. we booked a date of the installation and i booked it off work. The day came round and i waited but no one turned up. The next morning i had a call from openreach saying they were outside my house, ofcourse no one was in so they had to go. I then had to book another date which i then booked off work again, the were booked in for the morning but yet again no one showed up. So i rang BT who then said they had contacted an openreach engineer who would be with me later to which no one showed up again. Because of the persistent failure to show up i canceled with them and asked if i would be charged anything to which the answer was no. The next month i had a letter from BT labeled 'final bill' which was £4.99 for the postage of the modem. I rang them up and said i wasn't paying it and explained what had happened, the person on the other end said that it would be canceled and i would receive a confirmation letter. I didn't receive a confirmation letter, just a returns bag for the modem. The next month i received another final bill for £156. £4.99 fot the last bill i hadn't payed £127 for the installation of a line (which abviously was non existant) £24 for the rental of the no existant line So i rang again and waited in a queue for 20 minutes and then explained again why i wasn't going to pay the bill, the person on the other end said she would have to open a dispute and then ring me back in an hour. I received no call and then the next month (today 3/2/11) received a final warning for the £156. Everytime i ring them the clearly just tell me lies and the i have to go through the same procedure again the next month. Has anyone else had this or a similar problem and how did the get to the end of it?
