  1. I have recently received 3 letters from Clarity Credit Management (Collections Department) writing on behalf of their Client: HSBC Bank Plc. The letters read.... [16/11/2010 ""We have been instructed by HSBC Bank Plc to make arrangements with you to repay the above amount...we are prepared to offer you a discount" and gives me the option of a reduced settlement or a Payment plan. [30/11/2010] The next was similar. [15/12/2010] The third gave me one final chance to make a one off payment and that the offer would last 7 days as "we have been unable to agree with you an acceptable payment plan". Initially I thought it was a mistake because: - I have never had a credit card, debit card or any type of store card. - I have never had an account or ANY dealings with HSBC. - I have no debt (other than my student loan which I have not paid back because I am still at University). However when 3 letters arrived I began to worry. I went to a HSBC bank but was told they could not discuss it, I would have to go to Clarity. I am concerned this could effect my credit in the future. Any advice would be helpful.
