  2. I've started the claim through moneyclaim and had a confirmation letter throught oday stating that the claim started on 10/10/06. The problem is the court on the letter is northampton.... it's bloody miles from Hereford!!! How does the court get allocated, do I get the chance to move it as I obviously don't want to be travelling to bloody Northampton to got to court!!!
  3. I shall be using this thread as a guidance tool for me. It's a brilliant step by step guide and all relevent to Natwest. Well done Plutos.. great news
  4. Steveo28.. I don't happen to know you do I?? Just a thought that's all. I'm just going through the same process in Hereford. Not had the letter from Cobbetts yet but I'm guessing it's just a matter of time.
  5. I decided to complete the claim without the overdraft interest added on to it. I feel I can justify the charges easier that way. I was always sceptical about working out the overdraft interest, always found it quite tricky and I would rather be 100% sure about what I'm claiming. Should I send a breakdown of the charges to Cobbets yet or should I wait for them to ask for it.
  6. Hi guys. Im just filling in the moneyclaim form and I am having a few problems with the interest. My claim is for £681 which has risen to £695.90 once the overdraft interest was added. I'm having real problems working out the 8% interest on this on the new spreadsheet (I have never used the google ones before and it's quite tricky). I have tried using the guidance that states: "...S.69 County Courts Act of 8% - £xxx - This is the total of the 8% interest calculated by the spreadsheets on our site. Enter the total at the date of the court claim." Is there an easy calculation to w
  7. Hi guys. Just had a letter off Natwest offering £116... I'm claiming over £600!!! Is there a standard letter that people have used to reject the offer or should I just continue. They have had my LBA and the 14 days is up a week on thursday. Another funny thing, the date on the letter offering me the money was 23rd March, 2003...... over 3 years before I started my claim, lol
  8. I'll prepare the LBA today. Is it best to send it to the guy who is dealing with the complaint (the bloke who sent the letter asking for more time). I guess it's not really worth contacting the Ombudsman at this stage then
  9. Hi All I have started claims against NatWest and HSBC. I new how much I needed to claim back from Natwest and sent details to them. I have just had a letter back off them apologising for not meeting the deadline and asking to give them a little more time to get details from the statements. What should I do now?? They sent me details for the Financial Ombudsman, should I allow them to have a little longer or should I write to them telling them that I am not happy to do this and give them the notice of action letter?? Also is it worth me getting in touch with the ombudsman a

    Ricky Vs HSBC

Right here we go!! I am on a plan with the CCCS but I have decided to try to claim back the charges on various accounts I have held in the past. I think the main one will be HSBC. I'm in the process of doing the initial letter asking for statements and charges. I also had a credit card with HSBC, the question I have is can this be dealt with under one subject access request or do I need to do one for the card and one for the account. Obviously I would prefer to only give them £10 instead of £20. I have tried to read around the site as much as I can so hope I'm not asking a sill
  11. Hi All I've took my time to read through everything and I have now sent my first letter to Barclays and Barclaycard. I've requested statements and asked for details of manual intervention on my account. I don't think my charges will be as bad as some peoples but I would imagine that I would be looking at the region of £300 - £400 over the last 6 years. Most of my charges would come from late payments on credit cards. I'll keep you all up to date on my progress
