sorry to read that Nystagmite, The Doc told me ALL claims now have to have an assessment... prolly cause of the new rules and the change from dla to pip.... i did ask if id have to go through this all again in April, to which i was told, i wouldnt. I know ive waited a long time, they asked for a report from my Consultant, who was in India at the time for 3 weeks, then my GP, who rang me and asked me to come in to fill in the forms??? which i did with a HCA.... It has been a long wait. I know there is millions worse off than me. I just want to be able to walk and go back to work..... not go through this ......... (i didnt swear)

ty consumer dude, ive not had a reply yet, i only had the assessment on last thursday.... I just was saying it feels like a waste of time. I know its for how the condition affects a person, just wondered why the Doc checks arms to see if they are a drug user? And how a 60 min visit can go towards the decision makers decision!!!! I read online how the Doc's check for eye contact, and state of home and yourself on the visit, if you appear anxious or worried etc.... how is that looking at the condition itself?

Hi, I applied for DLA on 12th Dec 2012 after spending over 6 months "signed off from work" due to Plantar Facilitis and Heel spurs.I am not able to walk or stand up without pain. I went to the Doc's with this 18 months ago, ive had steroid injections, Lithotripsy treatment for 4 wks, x rays, ultra sound, the whole shabang....I am now waiting for PRP injection, if this does not work, my consultant says its MRI scan and the dreaded surgery, to release my Plantar...I had a visit from the DLA Doctor last thursday 22 March, 3 months after my application! I read on the web about PF and HS and it says, its a condition, that "just goes away", lol, my consultant however says i have a resistant case. I am used to working, not claiming benefits!!!! I want to work, but am faced with DLA Doc, checking my arms to see if im a drug user, looking around my home to see if im a liar. Unable to earn my own money and rely on benefits, ESA at £70 pw, forced to pay a bedroom tax for a room that cannot fit a bed, wardrobe and chest of drawers (a boxroom) and council tax! in April... how am i supposed to live on what i'll have left? How am I supposed to work, when I cannot walk ...I also have a teenage Autistic Daughter, she helps. But im supposed to be helping her. How do these benefit changes help folk like me? the folk the changes are aimed at, will still drive their Mercedes, wear their labels and have their I phones....and the folk who need dla will not get it, to pay for the others..... Hi, to cut a long story short.... In September/October 2011 my ex finally paid the £1,160 he owed when it got to the committal hearing stage, this was for the period March 2009-Oct 2009. In October 2010 I received 3 payments totaling £739.19........ ( In 2010 he had another child he was unaware of, the mother has made a claim but does not have a liability order, as yet).... I rang the CSA to find out where the rest of the payment was as I had only received £739.19 of the £1,160 to be finally told the computer had mistakenly awarded it to the other PWC, (Parent with care)!!!!!! The maladministration issue has still not been addressed, I have emailed 3 times only to get calls from the Legal Enforcement Team saying there is nothing they can do! As far as I am concerned that payment was due to me or he was to face the committal process, why did part of the money go to someone else, who has not had a liability order or committal hearing! It seems the CSA only do something if I regularly phone them. I have now been told to write a letter using the words "complaint" and "compensation", to which I did last week, also asking for a written response... They now have another liability order for the period October 2009 til November 2011, it goes to court in April, it had been adjourned because of a "change in circumstances" the csa told me, it totals over 5 thousand pounds, I know that if I do not chase them after the 90 day period the bailiffs have had, I will be waiting years for them to action another committal hearing, AND worry that when it is paid it gets paid to the wrong person al lover again!!!!! Please advise what to do about the payment that was sent to the other PWC.... Thank you Fleur

thank you, It was my Son that posted, I asked him to, because I know how helpful you all are on here and its infuriating that he is getting no response, just more letters to my address saying how much money he owes, when ive seen the bank statements and the money has been taken, and taken again.....They are even still trying to take payments from his debit card... Luckily he has cancelled this and moved his wages to be paid to his girlfriends bank account......Its so annoying that he has it in black and white that they have re taken the money and they can just deny it.. His bank account is in over £700 red, because they just keep trying to take it. when its been paid back in full........ Worst of all, its all at my address!!!!!! Fleur

I borrowed money in july 11 and paid it back on the agreed date, then two working days later they Wonga took a further 500 odd quid from my account, my bank say there is nothing that they can do about it (barclays) i have phoned wonga and they deny taking the money, ive email and written a letter sent by recorded delivery requesting a written response along with copies of bank statements threatening to take legal action. i have had no response. i am unsure what to do now

I've only spoken to the bailiff once on the phone, about how much I owed, which I disputed, I didn't tell him about my Daughter.

The Council know I have a Disabled Daughter, I get the Disabled Child Premium in my Housing Benefit, but not for Council Tax, I just get benefit and 25% Single Occupancy Discount. Should I get a Discount for my Daughters condition too? If so, THEY OWE ME Money LOL!!!! We used to get high rate care and mobility DLA but when my Daughter was fully main streamed in Junior School, the SENCO in the DLA review forms thought there was nothing wrong with my Daughter, as she's High Functioning Autistic, and very very clever!.... I appealled and went to panel and lost, eventually I gave up the fight as there's a lot of kiddies worse off than my Daughter. We have the lower rate care and mobility now, and you only get help with car tax if your on the higher rate. Fleur

The woman i spoke to at the council said they shut the payment office on Jan 1st.... I did mention that in last last post, its been well over an hour now and she hasnt rang back, she sounded like she didnt give a hoot and the bailiff should get his share too! Wish I got her name!! Sorry to sound dumb, but what is the CEO? I will ring the council on monday and find out why I was not rang back, theres no point going there, you just see an advisor and they pass the message to the office, nothing gets sorted! Thanks so much for all your help, dunno what i would off done today without your help!

Thanks, Ive just scrapped my car and have £150 to give them...... Ive rang the council and the liability order is for £452.42, she suggested that I come to an arrangement with the bailiff... I asked for them to take the debt back off the bailiff and allow me to pay them, I explained that I have been in a total mess, mentally and financially since my Mum's death in March, and I am not using that as an excuse. She said that she would check and find out what other charges have been applied and will ring me back in 20 minutes. Im trying to pay them for petes sake! She also told me they closed the payment office at the council on January the 1st, Nice of them to let everyone know eh? The last letter Ive had from the council is dated April 2010!!!! I don't have a debit or credit card to use the automated service. Fleur.
