Debts over 40k, Cant go bankrupt. What do we do?
pengy666 replied to pengy666's topic in Debt management and Debt self-help
What do I do about a DCA, that has not actually provided a CCA. They have forwarded the CCA request to original creditor and have now demanded payment again? Its Brian Carter. I only want to be dealingwith the original creditors. Also I would like some advice to put together a letter requesting a full and final settlement figure. I have an idea what I want to say but to detailed would help. Any advice appreciated. -

Well a friend with a scanner hasn't come through so I am unable to scan a copy of the copy agreements. Crapquest sent me a letter today saying they are prepared to accept a settlement which is around half the original debt, Looking through Crapquest haven't actually provided a CCA but batwest did contact me after I contacted Crapquest. The bit I don't follow is my account will be closed and my "credit file will show as balance cleared with a special flag of partial settlement" Is this normal? I was considering contacting them asking for a full and final agreement letter before handing over any money! What should I do with this? -

The one for the payment protection is for a loan form bank for £6000, now £9462 including £1700 |nterest and £1500 payment protection. this was from N&twest through a creditor. it was a "true copy" cca too not the original. The original was from C&pital one was from Intrum Justita. for about £1200 -

Hello all, Oh on a side note. I have Long time since I updated, Well not a lot happened. I recieved in total two CCA's! this was a true original copy. it highlighted that there is over 1500 of payment to protection on a loan! I have also received "true copy" of a CCA. What do I do now? I guess all the un-answered CCA request all get a copy of a nice "account Dispute" letter! I have also moved now I know have reduced my cost of living expenses down from £1600 to £600 per month. Saving has commenced! -

We have done this for a very long time, We have written to all the collection agencys asking for statement of accounts regularly. Most never acknowledge the letter has even been recieved. Yes this has gone on for this long and the original creditors never ask for money. We sometimes get monthly statements for some of the cards. Its absolute madness. my letter is the same as the one we created with Elsa's help. Not a account in dispute, Just saying forward relevant information or the original cca letter or I will dispute the account. -

Ok so now I have another two CCA returned and they do not act on behalf of this company anymore. What do I do about them taking my money for the last 4 years or so? Of course I will be forwarding account dispute letters, Also they have not provided any information or indicated they are going to pass the request onto the original creditor. -

I have been toying with the idea for emigration for a while. My job is good I like it, Thats it. My wifes job is good but its not great as the goverment is cutting so much money her job is not secure. We were talking about paying off the CCJ as this will hinder us emigrating, Then paying the one or two larger debts. If we go it will be for good. What has the UK to offer to any UK citizen? We work hard for our money and they work hard to take it off us?! The UK is a huge rat race and everyone is trying to get one over you. I read this -

I'm gonna wait to do those requests as I don't really require that information at this moment. I will just forward a letter telling them, They have all the information related to my name. I will give them my full name and date of birth. The rest is up to them. If they reckon I owe them 10K then I reckon they should know who I am. Like I said stalling. -

Ok, I see. Well I got this prepared. Think it covers all angles they are coming back at me with. You are right, it isn't hard to look for the information they need. My letter provided ll account numbers and reference numbers I was given. I think they are just stalling. -

The problem is I forgot to blinking sign the letter. It was from a previous address, I have always paid everyone from day one. I have never missed a payment. Even my CCJ was paid to eurodebt but they failed to pay them, Thats how it become CCJ'd. Do I just resend a CCA request back to natwest with the original date Just signed? -
