Vodafone has been charging me for a number that I have not used since November 2009. Indeed I ended my subscription with Vodafone in November 2009 at the end of my contract with Vodafone and I switched for an iphone with Orange. Orange gave me a new number that I have been using since. I wrote a letter to Vodafone to inform them of my decision to end my contract with them. Vodafone ackowledged this change by a letter indicating the process that I had to follow if I wanted to keep the same number with my new provider. I did not want to keep my former number so I used the new number that Orange has given me. It is only recently that I realised that Vodafone has been charging me for my former number. Since November 2009 I have not used that number not even once. I have paid £ 511.5 for nothing. I instructed my bank to stop the direct debit and a few days ago I have received a letter from a credit recovery company asking me to pay £ 93.00. My problem is that I have not kept any of the letters regarding this number. I have not kept my letter dated November 2009 ending my contract and I have not kept the Vodafone letter acknowledging my decision to stop using Vodafone. I would like to be refunded by Vodafone for the amount of money they took from my account for a service that I never used and I do not want to pay the amount of £ 93.00 What should I do? With many thanks for your help.
