  1. hi again i have got a letter back from brighthouse about my claim for the osc money back . as just as i thought it would be states that i was sat down and told word for word about my agreement and osc this as never happened and i was told when i questioned about osc that i had to take it or no goods simple as that . they also enclosed as they say 2 true copys of my agreements that i am claiming for which on my originall agreement i never ticked the boxes for any of the insurance but on one they have enclosed as been ticked but not by me are they allowed to tamper with my agreement . agreement number 2 which they enclosed is not even the correct tv that i have my agreement for and paid . theres is all same price and dates but diffrent tv model and none of my signatures on it at all and this is the first time i have seen this agreement . this tv on there agreement is a loaner tv i was left with 4 weeks before my agreement was due to end as the tv i had did not match to the one on my agreement and was taken to be verified and was told that i would be given the correct tv which states on my agreement once its been verifed then on my last week of my agreement i called up my local store yet again and my tv was still in a queue to be looked at and that the only option is to keep the loaner tv which broke 2 weeks later paid £1336 for a tv ive never had and left with a broken tv collecting dust in my bedroom my tv on my agreement was a baird 42in with freeview - the tv i had and paid for was a baird 42in without freeview brighthouse set up my tv when they delivered it. when the brighhouse engineer came to my house he said whats the problem i said i have just had my sky tv turned off and i can't find any freeview on the tv he said this tv does not have it can i see your agreement ,so i showed him and he said i have the wrong model and i should have had the newer model and took it away and left me with a damage tv . i am now taking this futher with ombudsman and have done all the photo copying of agreements letters etc... i will keep everyone updated on this problem. ombudsman v brighthouse who do you think will win

  6. hi ive done the letter is this the right head office address because ive seen a few Caversham Finance Ltd trading as BrightHouse, 5 Hercules Way, Leavesden Park, Watford WD25 7GS.
  7. hi i am doing the letter today and i am going to send it recorded delivery to the head office and take one to my local store manger ,i now also have ombusman helping me and my solicitor advising me .because brighthouse have broken there terms and conditions and i am going to fight them all the way for a tv thats on my agreement that ive never had and for the inconvenience of no tv. i am also claiming all of my agreements insurance back for the last 6 years .i would never have known that you don't have to take the insurance until this matter because ive been reading up and noticed you don't have to take it ,but i was told with my agreements you have to take the insurance if not you don't get the goods . they have been lieing to me for the last 6 years and ripping me off . i am going into the store next week to ask for all my agreements for the last 6 years even if agreements have ended and been paid you can still get your insurance back .if they so no i can't have them i have advised to tell them that my solicitor will be sending them section 77
  8. hello i am new to this forum and i have been reading all these brighthouse horror stories and would like to add mine . i got a built in freeview tv from brighthouse on october 16th 2008 on a 104 weeks payment of £6.17 + £3.32 optional service cover + £1.42 damage liabillity cover = £10.91 a week everything was ok until i had my sky tv channels turned off on the 15th of september this year which i only have 4 weeks left on my agreement ,this is when i tried to tune my freeview channels in my tv but could not find any channels ,when i first got the tv brighthouse delivery men installed the tv and set it up to my sky channels. so i phoned them and said i can't find the freeview channels brighthouse said an engineer would come out to look at it . 2 days later the engineer came and as soon as he come in and seen the tv and my agreement he said that the tv is not the right one for my agreement and its an older version tv of my agreement with no freeview built in so he took the tv to be looked at as this is there rules as he said and left me with a replacement until they sorted out the situation i also phone the store and talked to manger about the engineer saying its not the right tv for my agreement and he just said he can't do anything untill its been looked at . i had been ringing the store 3 times a week for the last 3 weeks to find out what they are going to do but just kept being to its in a queue to be looked at .then at my final week of my agreement monday 11th october 2010 only a few weeks ago i phone again as i am getting worried because it my last payment on my agreement manger said its still not been looked at and i can keep the replacement loaner tv if i like it so i had no other option only to keep this loaner tv so paid my final payment . 3 weeks later thursday 11 november 2010 i woke up to no picture on my tv just sound i phone brighthouse even though my agreement as ended to see if they would help and was told by the manger no your agreement as ended and its nothing more to do with us deal with it yourself electricals don't last for life you know ,she made me very upset by her rude and nasty comments towards me even though i have been using this company for 6 years but this is the end for me with this company .also for the last 6 years i have been forced to take both insurance cover which i now know because of this great site i did not need to take i was told its insurance or you can't have the goods is there anything i can do about my tv because i have never had or seen my agreement tv , also i never signed for the replacement loaner which i had no choice to take and now not working after just 3 weeks of my agreement ending, the cost to repair the tv is £200 and would need replacing again in 12 months so its not worth repairing as the tv repair man said hope anyone can help thank you debbie
