  1. Hi, I'm a new member and hope someone might be able to help me. A few months ago I had a new kitchen installed by a small company which holds a franchise from a larger manufacturer. There were several problems during installation but all eventually resolved. The shock came in the form of the extras bill. Despite being unhappy with it we decided to pay in full to end it all. We were also kicking ourselves as we had not pinned the installers down specifically on every aspect of the job beforehand so felt we did not have a leg to stand on. Since then however they have asked for more money in the form of a bill from a subcontractor which they provided on site. One item we have paid for already as it was not ever included on the extras bill. However they are also charging us for items which we thought had already been included on the original extras bill. Turns out they had not their paperwork in order and had missed some items off. They are also charging us for wiring which subsequently had to be checked by another electrician. When there was a fault with some of the lights they installed we received no reply or help from the company. I feel as if we have paid out enough to this company. I feel aggrieved they are demanding payment for a mistake they made with their paperwork as well as providing no customer care when there was a problems with the lights. Is there anything I can do about this. Apologies this is such a long post -- found it hard to explain in fewer words.
