  1. Thankyou for the reply, I have emailed the council now, so we'll see what they say. I'm just hoping I can get a reply out of them before the bailiffs come round again, but hopefully they wont come again for a few days? Also, should I email the bailiff company (which is bristow and sutor by the way) and tell them i'm waiting to hear back from the council etc?
  2. Thankyou in advance for reading, desperately need advice! Last year I was a student in Bath, living in student accomodation but had to leave because I fell pregnant, however the council tax bill came after i left the course, but was still living at the property... so I now have to pay council tax on that property because I was residing there and wasn't a student. About 3 weeks ago, I got a bill from Bath and North East Somerset Council (they sent the letter to where Im living now-Hereford) then got another letter a week later telling me I had to pay an installment by the 4th November, which I did today.. But this morning, I got a visit from a baliff. I actually didn't hear the door, and he left a 'notification of baliff visit' letter. I have phoned the council, who say i've got to pay £191 to them and £806 to the baliffs... Can I get the whole case transferred back to the council instead of having to deal with baliffs? The lad I spoke to at the council didn't seem very bothered.. but i suppose why would he.. They obviously want me to sign a walking possession form as well. I'm worried about the additional costs if I don't deasl with them straight away, but from what i've heard, they'll just pressure me... Feeling very guilty as I'm currently residing with my parents, and they definitely do Not need this stress- especially if the baliffs turn up randomly and frequently? Im currently on income support as I'm 8 months pregnant, which doesn't give me a lot of money. Will I still be eligible for council tax support from the government? any advice is greatly appreciated- I'm absolutley terrified!
