  1. oh yeh thats a good idea, ill do that tomorrow, i have a stereo at home with a built in microphone so ill try it for sure!!! Thanks x
  2. Oh and yes, this was also the case, my village was an island. the access road to the marquee was a river waiste deep, and the rescue boats were there rescuing people from their floating cars!! I took pics of the flooded marquee, flooded lane,, rescue boats etc and sent them in with my claim as evidence!
  3. Hi, yeh i did take out marquee cover and i took out the most expensive cover - diamond. I have spoken to Confetti anonymously and said i have taken out cover with you, would i be covered if my venue was flooded as a result of say... the recent floods we had, and she said yes u will 100% be covered under the section of 'an unexpected event causing damage to the venue, therefore making the wedding unable to go ahead'.
  4. Hi, Following the recent floods my wedding had to be cancelled due to my venue (marquee) being flooded. BEFORE i cancelled on the friday (my wedding was on the sat) i called my Insurance Company - Confetti.co.uk and asked if we were covered for this eventuality. I was told that there was no doubt that i was covered and to go ahead. Later My Fiance called again to make doubley sure, he was told my another claims handler that we were definately covered, he asked what we could claim for and was told anything we have receipts for to do with the wedding. He also asked how long claims normally take and was told usually they are turned around in 7 days. Over the following few weeks i went ahead and rebooked my new wedding (8th Sep). Obviously the 8th is looming and we are now having problems with the claim. I have been told by Confetti that our claim has been passed to underwriters, i asked why and was told it was because there is doubt that my claim will be paid out. I mentioned my previous conversations with themselves and told them i had been assured that i was covered before cancelling but their response was that it was out of their hands now and i would just have to wait to hear from the underwriters. As u can imagine with a week to the new wedding suppliers want to be paid, we HAVENT got a penny left as the last wedding cleared us out at 25000!!!! we are now in the situ where if we dont hear from them that thet are paying out in the next day or so we will have to cancel again. I have asked the insurance co for copies of all the conversations i have had with them as it proves they assured me it was covered. To this they said no not until the underwriters have made there decision, i explained it was my legal right to have a copy of the calls, when, at this point they agreed. I suspect they will simply delay giving me the copies until the underwriters have made their decisions, or, 'lose them'!!! Anyonehave any ideas or advice for me on what to do or where i stand? Thanks Kerrie
  5. in reality the statements really are all u need. but imagine if it went to court and corbetts say well mr judge its cost our clients hundreds if not thousands in letters and phone calls to mr petrafyde because of the way he managed his account, u cant then turn around and say well actually i requested that information and u havent provided any evidence of this. if u asked for it. the likeliness of this happeneing is very very unlikely but its best to cover yourself. but the long and short of it is u only need your statements with natwest. however when i claimed off virgin they dont even send u statements from a sar they send u a breakdown of charges etc.
  6. u may well have time - use the advice of natweststaffmember in the stickys at the beginning of the natwest threads to get your statements and hopefully they will come in time. if u havent done the spreadsheets already though i gather you have not added the 8% interest on your court claim? you didnt calculate your charges then add on 8% on to the total did u? if this is what u did it is wrong as the 8% is added onto each individual charge not the whole amount.
  7. ok thanks guys and thanks michael for your template x
  8. miz u need to read the faqs where u will find the step by step guide. there is very little room for erroe so u need to understand the process before u start. briefly u start by sending an sar. this can be found in the templates library. natwest then have 40 days to send u your statements. once rec'd u enter details of charges onto a spreadsheet also found in templates library. u then enter the amount of charges (not the 8%interest)and your own details into the templated preliminary letter and post to customer relations. they have 14 days to reply. after 14 days wether they have replied or not u send the templated LBA once u have entered your own details. again they have 14 days. they will tell u to get stuffed. u then go to moneyclaim online and file your claim this time with the 8% interest added on from the spreadsheets - read the faqs for more advice / details x
  9. well without the evidence of charges your claim WILL be struck out, i have experienced similar to this even though i had sent the spreadsheets 3 times to natwest once to the court and three times to corbetts. the judge wrote to me - see my thread 'courts ordered my claim is stayed' just below this one. have u got the charges with a description and a date? if so yes by all means put this onto the spreadsheet and sent it to thecourts corbetts and natwest, but if you havent its highly unlkely your claim will be settled - the spreadsheet is your eveidence?!
  10. well yes but no - the thing is u need it incase u go to court to prove that u have asked for everything listed on the sar else i guess they could use it as a defence - cover your butt. in reality though natwest dont keep a record on any manual interventions etc so all u get is your statements - cover all angles and send the SAR to be sure though. the cag way is the right way!!! it works and ive had over 2000 from natwest and several hundreds from virgin x
  11. start again as u need to put the charges into the spreadsheet the courts require this elae your claim will be struck out. dont panic it will happen but best to get it right x
  12. yes i did one and got back both account statements
  13. yeh natwest dont keep any records of manual interventions so the sar wont come up with anything if i were u id send it as if (which i doubt) u end up in court u have done it. u could just proceed with your prelim and sar etc whilst u wait for it though as u have the info u need already, then, if the time comes to go to court u can prove u have requested details of any manual interventions etc.
  14. yeh its always the way!!!! the easiest way i found to breakdown the advantage gold fee is when u get yur statements u will scroll through them for the word charge, next to it will be the reason. for example - card misuse. then around the same date every month u will have had a charge for the advantage gold £6-£14 quid plus (if u had been over your overdraft the previous month a £28 unarranged borrwing fee added to the advantage gold fee. the unarranged borrowing fee is always 28 quid so just take that off the total amount and that will be the fee. also its the only charge they dont actually put a description against but just dates. sounds confusing but when u look at statements u will see exactly what i mean cuz i had the same problem x ps the SAR isnt different to a statement as natwest dont keep any recrds of manual interventions so u will receive your statements and nothing else there is no other document that shows your charges.
  15. yes brush yes u do - your right this is not acceptable from a bank. i hope u get your money back and are able to lay NatWest to rest as i have. i see that your pointing out that this has only come about since the start of your claim and this isnt unheard of, people have experienced NatWest closing their parents accounts down once a clam has been started - possibly in confusion due to similar names but all the same its not good. as i say good luck, god bless x x Nattie i dont think brush wants these things rectified he was just pointing out the crap service and bad experience SINCE starting the claim. it would drive mem insane being a natwest worker reading all this - t must be hard for you also x
  16. hi miss just read your thread. i claimed for 2 seperate natwest accounts on one claim and had it settled in full with no problems so there is no reason u should do 2 claims. also i thought u said u were transfrerring your overdraft to a&l as its interest free. i would tear the loan agreement up from nawest and dont sign it - get rid of natwestand start afresh. i was told that my credit rating was bad and getting worse via natwest yet joined lloyds and was offered a premier acct the best u can get and told that on a scale of 1(low)-10(high) my score was 9!!!! get it moving girl ang get ya money back x
  17. i have today received the following. before district judge singleton at gloucester CC upon reviewing the court file: 1) The claim is stayed on the grounds that the claimants statement of case discloses inadequate particulars of claim. (there are no particulars of charges). Unless by 4pm 13th Feb the claimant files and serves a further statement of case that sets out full particulars of the claim the claim will stand struck out. The claimant should also send a copy of the further statement of case to the defendent or their reprasentatives and confirm to the court that this has been done. I of course used the POC template from the library for moneyclaim on line and sent a copy of the spreadsheets (particulars of charges) to Northampton CC as soon as i had filed it. What now what do i write? say? do? HELP!!!!! PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAASE x Corbetts have also been sent full particulars and the spreadsheets TWICE not to mention sending them to NatWest with Prelim and LBA!!!! GGGGRRRR!!
  18. i sent all my stuff normal post and have had one claim settles and am currently about to complete my second claim against natwest so dont worry x
  19. here here - im rubbish at all this sort of thing but the help and guidance on here is fantastic you dont really even need to use your own brain as everything id done for you - letters are just templates that y0ou have to add your own account number on to and print out. there is a great step by step guide in the faq too. do it dont delay. in the hope of giving you some inspiration i am now on my second claim against natwest they have settled the first for over £2200 and now im on the later stages of claim 2 for over £1000. ive also done Virgin CC and settled with interest at 28.8%!!!!!!!! Do it Do it!!!! We will all help you x p.s im no brain boff i failed most of my exams many years ago so if i can do it u certainly can! x
  20. weldone on that!!! thats cool - but natwest cover themselves by saying they wont write to u again - still u will win in the end anyway x
  21. i sent them 3 times to corbetts and still they denied having them and applied to have my claim struck out!!! you close now good luck x
  22. hiya just to reassure you - you will win. everyone kept saying to me what if u dont win bla bla cuz i was relying on the money coming in to put towards my wedding. of course i won!!!! they paid me MY money back - all 2300 of it and now im taking them again for the 1000 that they have charged me since starting my last claim - and im at the latter stages again - anyway i know its scary but i will bet my house that u will get paid - ok? good luck x x x
  23. hi lee yeh let a mod know your claim details. good luck with your claim you will now be sent natwests defence which will be the usual stuff "the claimant hasnt submitted a fully particularised claim "havent rec'd any evidence (the spreadsheets)", CPR 18 request. and then youll get an aq from the courts which u need to fill and send back with £100 if your claim is over £1500. Corbetts will also be sent one of these and there are guidelines in the library to help u fill it in. Then you WILL receive yoiur cheque!!!!!!!!!!! Hurray - not long now - Goodluck x
