I recently had a fire in my home & had to move due to being inhabitable. Aviva appointed Cunningham & Lindsay to assist. I was sent a letter stating that i should continue paying £100 a week rent and they would cover any other reasonable cost of temp. accomodation. I work part time and get housing benefit to help cover rent. As i was no longer living im my ususal home it was cancelled. I have been paying £100 a week to fam/friends whilst staying with them. Would Aviva b able to help me with this situation. I have paid £900 rent and there is no way i can afford this on my income without HB, and the council wont accept this as i cant prove it is a genuine tenancy. Any help is appreciated Thanks
