lozzzy replied to aitch4h's topic in PayDay loans and Short Term loans - General
I approach these guys and they agreed a repayment direct with me of £20 on a £200 loan. after a month or two after i saved up a bit i offered them a lump sum to get rip of it and they agreed. the person i deal with was called Jamie and he was actually quite understanding. Try emailing him and see if you get any sence [email protected]. -
Hi All, I just wondered how people were getting on with setting up payment plans with Wonga now'a'days? I'm still rather worried that they crack on loads of interest and miss payment fees so a loan of £200 becomes an outstanding amount of £1000 in just a few weeks! is this still the case or how have people got around it? Also has anyone hear recently of any of the payday loan companies putting any markers on anyones credit histories? Thanks

If you really have to use a payday loan company have you checked if there is a cheaper option out there with less interest to pay?

My PDL problem

hi, Robjam is correct. Keep everything in email or written form and if you dont get a responce or the responce you require just keep emailing them daily and it will get sorted out once they see you cannot be budged! -
they are very very careful with teh agreements and even a spelling mistake mean they will throw out the agreements. Even if you are on a "solve" agreement, as long as you keep paying something (even if its not close to the full amount) they wont set the dog on you.

Martin Lewis has a good thing on his website all about creidt rates. have a read!

Thanks for that MJC & Maggie. MJC, did your credit union suggest how long you'd have to pay into an account with them before you could take a loan?

Major debt with Payday loan co.s
lozzzy replied to Doogalnosofroogal's topic in PayDay loans and Short Term loans - General
I had issues getting payday uk to agree but i emailed them constantly until finally i started to get somewhere! Keep to email as at least then you have written confirmation that you have tried. Have you sent them the harrasment letter etc from the templates liabary? If not get them fired out to cover your bum! -
Getting Help From The Citizens Advice Bureau?
lozzzy replied to Mr.N's topic in PayDay loans and Short Term loans - General
Hey there, sorry to hear your having problems! The CAB can help you although i understand that a lot of people are calling on there services at the moment so they are very busy. You can resolve this yourself. Contact your Payday loan companies explaining your circumstances have changed and that you wish to agree a repayment plan. Ofcourse they wont like this and might ignore you or add charges but you need to be firm and if needs be email or write to them daily. Some things to consider.. These companies have been known to set up direct debts or collect cash off cancelled cards until they have taken everything they can money wise from you. Set up a basic bank account else where and move your money across. It is the safest way to ensure you do not get cleared out one morning before you have even got out of bed! Inform your bank to not set up direct debt's without your permission (do this both verbally and in writing so your bank is clear of your wishes). The companies will phone you at home, mobile and occasional might try it at work. Get a template off the CAG liabary for telephone harrasment. Do not phone them! get everything in writing (i.e Recorded letters or emails!). Whilst others might ant agree with me, i think you should be fair in what you offer to repay. Do not agree to repay more than you can afford however, if you owe a lot, dont offer then £5 a month or you will never clear the debt and they will just laugh at your offer! Let us know how you get on, and we'll help all we can! -
payday loans mayhem **
lozzzy replied to saul1664's topic in Payday Express/Wage advance/Cashtillpayday
if it is dated before the loan is even due i would recommend using this against them. I dont know how best to do this, if you should complain to the finincal obustman or ?? but one of the experts on here will know best. With regards to payday uk, i had issues getting them to ackowledge that i wanted to resolve the issue. They passed me into there inhouse debt collectors (keyes whitlock) who were very agressive. I recommend you email them everyday with your offer of a repayment plan (try make it decent-ish i.e more than £25 if you can afford to, otherwise they just laugh in your face) until you finially get acknowledged!
