  1. If you don't mind me asking Fkofilee, how did this come about? As my OH is having problems with these and it's quite worrying as we live with my parents and I don't want them to get caught up in this? Thanks
  2. They have now replied saying they will look into it and that if I never received any money, I will not have to pay it back. Seems they are genuine afterall and was just a simple mistake.
  3. Now this is getting even stranger. I have tried to email several times now and keep getting the same email back "out of office" however, my husband just emailed them from his email account (as he is a customer) and they replied no problem to him. What's going on?????
  4. Hi, I am unsure of who these are but we are having problems at the moment they are wanting me to pay back a loan that they never gave me! As for coming and taking assets they can't do this and next time you speak to Louise, tell her you are recording the call (even if you aren't) and that you will report to the office of fair trading if they keep making false threats and comments and harrassing you.
  5. Hi guys, My hubby took out a small loan with these last week for just £50 till end of the month. I also applied and was approved. Had the email sent saying money had been transferred and an invoice for the transaction. The money never went into my account and I then received a text from them saying there had been an error with my application and to reapply online. I went online and logged in. It said I have an open loan and I can't apply. I rang 3 times, nobody ever answers just a recorded message saying very busy blah blah blah so I emailed. Got a call back saying that because there is someone at my address with a loan then they can't accept any others. Fair enough. So today, I get a letter in the post detailing my repayment date etc and that if I do not pay in time, further charges will be added. I sent a very p***ed of email back saying what's this?? I had no loan. Got response saying "out of office" so I tried ringing again and nothing. Any advice please would be great.
  6. Yes uncle buck did it to my friend, she had one set up without her knowing and it said something completely different but was definitely uncle buck.
  7. Ahh, OK thanks seanamarts. At least I can make sense of it now
  8. Just found this - 0T tax codes means "your allowances have been used up or reduced to nil and your income is taxed at the relevant rate. What does that mean?? I haven't worked since march
  9. Hi thanks, yes it is on my payslip under tax code
  10. Hi, Sorry if posting in the wrong place. Just a quick question, I did 2 weeks temporary work at boots. I was on jobseekers at the beginning of the year and then transferred on to carers allowance as I am the main carer for my father. I took the temp work just for some extra cash and was given a tax code of OTW1. Can anyone please tell me what this means and if I may be due any kind of tax refund? Thanks.
  11. Well sent off I.D on Monday but not heard anything yet. Has anybody else had this happen please?
  12. Yes, of course but I just wondered if just the fact of them asking for I.D rather than the usual rejection letter means that I am likely to be accepted?
  13. Hi dpick, thanks. How long after he sent the I.D did they call?
  14. Hi, I applied online on 7th Nov for a vanquis credit card. Please no lectures, I know the ins and outs but am trying to rebuild my credit rating and this was the reason. I intend to make small purchases regularly and then clear in full. When I have applied in the past I have always either been rejected straight away or told to wait and then a letter has come a few weeks later saying declined. This time, I received a letter 2 weeks later asking for a copy of my driving licence and a recent bank statement. This could be because I am not on the electoral role as I recently moved. Does anyone know if they just do this as routine or whether I may be accepted this time? I sent the documents today. Thanks guys.
  15. UPDATE I have now had chance to speak with BAYV and to read all through the paperwork etc, I was very unhappy to learn that my account had been changed without my knowledge and this is not very good customer service. However, I must add that BAYV have been very good and have provided all the information I requested and have now fully explained everything to me. There was an error on my account and this was rectified and put on to new agreements in January. My account was not refinanced, and all payments I had made prior to the change were transferred over to the new agreements. I have the proof of this. So in the end, I am quite satisfied with the outcome. The area manager has phoned to see if I have any further questions and so has my account manager. They were very pleasant and although I was very angry at first for being kept in the dark, I am quite impressed with how they have dealt with my complaint/query.
  16. If he cancels the transaction and informs the bank that minicredit sent it in error, isn't the bank obliged to let minicredit recall their payment? I'm not sure but would think it's likely.
  17. They aren't acting on behalf of any payday loan company. They are con artists, just trying to get your card details. Like I said before, they have our names, addresses, phone numbers, national insurance numbers, work info, bank details. This is because we have all filled in a payday loan application at some point either recently or in the past. Then, the company who we originally applied at have shared our information with other third parties and these people calling themselves I.M.S have somehow got hold of this. It's just their latest [problem]. That's why they can't tell us who we owe money to. It's all fake and anyone who has fallen victim of this needs to contact the police and action fraud whether you made any payment or not. When I rang back and challenged him he kept hanging up and he didn't even know what a county court judgement was because I asked him. This is supposed to be the "senior solicitor" at the legal department of I.M.S!!!!!! HAHAHAHAHAHA oh my sides hurt. I am so angry at myself for letting them bother me in the first place. Please go to google and put in these numbers 02088199746 and 02088199824 then click on the whocallsme result near the top.
  18. The santander instant plus account is also good and you have a visa debit card with it. Just a basic account but I find it is great. Report your card as stolen, then it will be blocked. If you want to consolidate and not get further into debt you would be better off going to C.A.B or look up a company like "Payplan" on the internet. They are a non profit organization who will set up a debt management plan for you. They will write to your creditors, explain your situation and make offers of monthly repayments. You will then pay one amount each month which you can afford and they will distribute it to your creditors. You will then be in control of your money. Do NOT give any of the creditors your new card details or bank details, they will take whatever they can.
  19. Hi, Have you got access to the old account online? I know you say its overdrawn but can you still log on just to see if it has gone into there. They might not have even sent it at all. Did you sign an agreement online today and have you got a copy of it in your email address or on your minicredit account? If so, read through it and it should have a cancellation period on it somewhere. If it has, then they are talking rubbish saying that is for last year. It is from whatever date is on the agreement (todays) contact them again and put in writing that you wish to cancel the transaction.
  20. They took down everything that was said to me over the phone, the details they held about me, the phone number, names etc and they said the police may contact me if needed
  21. Hi, Yes they sounded indian but gave themselves very english names like sarah wood and michael. Didn't speak very clear english and I thought it sounded like he was reading off a card. Funny how we both were told same amount of 248 rising to 1200, and that our payment should have been made end of april hmmm......I was really worried at first and was considering making a payment. Thank God I didn't!!! As for their phone number, I have phoned twice today only because I have free calls to 01, 02 and 03 numbers, most went to mailbox but I got through 5 mins ago and I can't type here what I shouted down the phone at him ha ha ha ha ha but it made me feel a little better! And he was taken aback because he went quiet and just said WHAT??? I'm just off to the bathroom now to wash my mouth out with soap let me know how you get on and I will do same xx
  22. I was told it is probably due to the fact, when we filled in the form, the companies pass your details around to other companies ( we all know this happens as we get hundreds of texts and marketing calls from different loan companies, brokers etc after making just one application online and that's annoying in itself )and somehow they have got into the wrong hands.
  23. I rand action fraud and reported it. They gave me a crime number and lots of help and reassurance. 03001232040
  24. Hi baileysmam, I had exactly the same thing, made me ill and I posted on here. I have informed action fraud of this. They told me they would report to police for me and gave me a crime number. I then had to ring my bank explain to them and have my card blocked and a new one sent out. Then I had to ring national insurance and tell them that someone had my NI number and personal details. This is to help us from identity theft and I suggest you do the same. If you need any help just PM me. I was really worried at first and was shaking but now I am just angry. I have rang back several times screaming down the phone and annoying them. If you look on whocallsme.com and type in the number 02088199746 it comes up with lots of people who have had the same. Also, my papers never came, neither did the police it's people preying on the vulnerable people and it wants reporting by us all.
