If it looks ok how do I deal with them just ignoring my offers of payment?

The DN says "letter sent to me on 17th August" and gives me until 14/09/10 to pay all arrears and overlimit amount. I wrote to them in good time for them to receive before 14/09/10. The Termination notice says "sent to me on 14/09/10" stating I have "failed to satisfactorily comply with the terms of the DN"

I had an EGG credit card and it had a full balance of around £3500 when my hours at work got cut and I ran into problems with ALL my creditors. Out of everyone, including bank loans, online shopping stores etc, EGG did not chase me for payments once I defaulted... so naturally I didnt pay, I managed to keep up with all other payments to other companies..... EGG didnt contact me at all!!! Now, a year later I get a default notice from EGG saying they want all the arrears payments and charges theyve added for non/late payments, which is almost £2000 or theyre taking me to court and selling my debt on. I wrote to them, including copies of recent bank statements showing im well into my overdraft every month and copies of my payslips showing reduced hours and pay but still offered to pay £40 pm, explaining this was as reasonable an amount I could afford and maintain every month. I also asked them to freeze interest and charges. They have ignored my letter and now sent a letter saying my agreement is terminated and I will hear from an external debt collection agency within 10 days. What do I do now? Do I still write to EGG with copies of previous letter asking for a repayment agreement, so I wait for the other collection agency to get in touch and try to work something out with them?? HELP!!!!.
