  1. have you read in other threads that if you hide that car lbl can't find it? If that's the case then I suggest you tell your dad to hide the car! I'm facing similar problems myself and I've parked my car off road, but I don't know if they can track it..?
  2. Hi.. I'm hoping someone could help me in this dilemma I'm facing I bought my car (a 2006 Mercedes CLK convertible) from my ex last year May as he lost his job at the time and was going through really bad financial difficulties, ( also his father had died so he had travelled out of the country to sort out the funeral arrangements. ) Now he took out a loan of £3,500 with lbl which was secured against the car and a monthly repayment of £470. I was aware of when he took out the loan, and when I bought the car off him I called lbl and notified them that I have bought the car and have changed the
  3. Hi, I just received a letter from the Northampton County Court saying: "The respondant filed a statutory declaration/witness statement on 20-AUG-10. It is ordered that the order for recovery of unpaid penalty charge be revoked. It is further ordered that the charge certificate and the notice to owner/enforcement notice be cancelled." I understand that my Out of time/Witness Statement has been granted, but does this mean that I can now pick up my car from the bailiffs? Please reply! Thanks!
  4. Can someone please help? I just got a call from the bailiffs saying that the charges have gone up to £2,800 and that if I don't make the full payment today, my car will go for auction tomorrow! Please help! Thanks.
  5. Hi I'm looking for some advice, I've been on this site before and have got some good advice on legal problems. This is going to sound a bit complicated but I do hope someone can help me! So basically I bought my Mercedes last summer but all the details are on my (now ex) parter's name. Around Christmas last year we ran into major financial difficulties and we both went our separate ways, obviously I know I should have changes the logbook details to my name at the time, but my dad died so I had to travel out asap for three months. By the time I came back to UK I had to get a place to live
  6. The car is worth 17 grand so I cant just leave it unfortunately. Thats why I want to get it back so I can sell it and settle some of my debts and buy something smaller? Thanks for your advice!
  7. Thank you so much for the advice, I will definitely be putting this into consideration! But, how exactly do I find Tomtubby? I've tried looking but cant find the person.. Thanks again!
  8. Hi, thank you for the advice. Just wanted to add that its my ex-partner (HE) - we weren't married. And yes it is on he's name but he is also going through he's own financial struggles so he's really no help and like I said the logbook is on his name too so that's where the problem lies. The bailiff took the car to a depot in Walthampstow and its been there since, I've tried asking if I could pay by instalments, but he refused. I have documents showing we no longer live together, but do you think that would help much? Thanks again.
