  1. Does anyone know if the claim number and case number are one and the same? Many thanks.
  2. Hi. Sorry I've been away. Today I received a letter from Wandsworth telling me the fee payable for the requested documents (claim and summons) is £5.00. So will send them this by postal order. Still haven't received a copy of the CCJ. Will phone them again about that. I have got a case number now, so will fill in the 'set aside' form with my hubby's help. He's away in the week, and the form looks very daunting to me (English is not my first language).
  3. I've e-mailed Wandsworth Court and will send out letter by registered mail tomorrow. I did not check with Court my address, however they must have the right address, otherwise how would EuroDebt have gotten hold of it? Also my address is on both the e-mail and the letter that is going out in the post. Next, M&S. I think I will write them a SAR to get every info they hold on me. Has anyone ever SAR-ed M&S? Do they comply? Can I already fill out the form to have the CCJ set aside, even before I receive the copies of the Court? Again thanks for you great help.
  4. Yes, I am writing a letter to the Court now. I am a bit confused about claim and/or Court Summons. Are they one and the same thing? Who would sent me the claim/Summons? Turnbull Solicitors or the Court or both? Also, once I have finished my letter, would it be ok to e-mail it to Wandsworth Court. Is it best if I send them the letter by registered mail as well? Many thanks.
  5. Wandsworth is nowhere near me. Will request a copy by post.
  6. That reminds me, she said the Summons was lodged/sent (not sure which) on the 25th August. Turnbull Solicitors told me they sent it to me in July.
  7. It was what the lady on the phone at Wandsworth Court told me. She said she would send me the CCJ. When I asked about the Summons, she said I would have to pay for photocopying. So I asked how much that would be, and it took her a while to check. She then said £5.00 for the first 10 pages plus extra for additional pages. I asked how I could pay for it. And she said I will first have to request a copy of the Summons in writing. They will get back to me and tell me the cost, after which I pay by postal order. Shouldn't I pay for the copy of the Summons?
  8. Hi all, I have contacted Wandsworth Court and they will send me the CCJ. I have to write them a letter to request a copy of the Summons, which will be £5.00 for the first 10 pages, and then added per page on top of that (not sure of the amount). I also asked, if it was found that I do not owe this debt, whether I can claim back the £75.00 plus other costs. She said I could apply for that through the Courts. I guess I'll have to cross that bridge when I get to that. What a nightmare.
  9. No, the Court person didn't offer to send anything, but referred me to Turnbull Solicitors. Thanks everyone for your fantastic advice. I hope you all enjoy your evening. I will probably check in here tomorrow!
  10. Yes, thanks broken arrow. Will definitely start the ball rolling tomorrow. 1. Phone court, get copy of summons and CCJ 2. Send SAR to M&S 3. After court papers, try to get CCJ set aside Then wait for HFO's next trick. Can you please tell me how to upload pics on here? I've tried and they come up as thumnails. Many thanks.
  11. OK, thanks DonkeyB. This is what I can recall about the M&S card. I hadn't lived in this country for long. In M&S I was approached by a lady trying for customers to sign up for their storecard. Naively I signed up. I never bought much on it, and what I bought, I paid off when I got the statement. Until my husband desperately needed 2 new suits for work. We charged those to the card. I ran behind on payments due to circumstances (illness). Not for long though, and at the first opportunity I paid it all off late 2002 or very early 2003. Lesson learnt and I have never used the card since. I will see what paperwork I can find on it, as well as serve M&S with a SAR. I have taken photographs of the EuroDebt letter. I tried to insert it, but it comes up very small. Is there any other way to add images?
  12. Broken arrow, I don't have a scanner but will see if I can photograph the Eurodebt letter. What more information do you need DonkeyB?
  13. Docman: the Turnbull guy said that it was M&S. The only thing I ever had with M&S was a store card. DonkeyB: Not related at all.
  14. How do I go about having the CCJ set aside? Do I write to the Court about this? Is there a standard letter available for this. Should I first ask the Court for the CCJ? Or should I wait until I receive it? It's been 10 days since it was issued, so I should have had it by now. Thanks again for all your advice. It is very much appreciated.
  15. I am confused as well. I never had any correspondence from HFO or Turnbull Sollicitors. I did not have a Court Summons. I have not even received the CCJ from Wandsworth. I only became aware of this through the Eurodebt letter, who obviously have my current address. I did a little research and I believe CCJs are in the public domain. So I guess that is how Eurodebt has found this CCJ information. Therefore it must be linked to my current address, and therefore HSO and Wandsworth Court must have my current address. The man that answered the phone at Turnbull Sollicitors said that HFO have send me many letters, none of which I have received. He asked if I had problems with receiving mail, which I have not as far as I am aware.
