  1. Are you sure they are bailiff but not debt collectors? As i understand bailiff will come only after a court proceeding and dbet collectors often pretend as bailiffs.
  2. I was fined only recently. Not yet reached the stage of court proceedings. what happens if they go to court. will I pay the original amount or the amount they charge for all reminders, debt collectors charges etc
  3. the notice wording is interesting. A PARKING CHARGE OF £ --- IS PAYABLE WITHIN 28 DAYS.A REDUCED CHARGE OF£ --- IS PAYABLE IF PAYMENT..... THIS PARKING CHARGE NOTICE HAS BEEN LAWFULLY ISSUED. ......CIVIL ACTION BEING TAKEN TO RECOVER PARKING CHARGE. Everywhere they used the word 'parking charge'. It is a free car park and can they charge parking fee if the car is parked outside a parking bay in a free car park. I can understand the right to fine for 'illegal parking' but parking charge for parking outside a bay?
  4. They also enclosed a self addressed envelope ( no stamp) UKPC Payments PO BOX 492 Iver Bucks. difficult to know legitimate or not
  5. It was parked at Altrincham Retail park car park. It is a free car park otherwise. They fixed the notice onto the windscreen in an yellow sticky envelope.
  6. UKPC -UK Parking control Ltd - I beleive they are a private company. If we can ignore their notice even if we are in the wrong, why anyone pay at all? is this down to just ignorance of public
  7. so you mean to say that all of us could ignore these parking tickets by UKPC and other private operators? I dont mind they sending letters or referring to debt collectors -but dont want debt collectors coming to my house and harassing. This did happen to one of my friend, but it was a council ticket I think
  8. Illegible/overwritten pcn Recently I recieved PCN and I am in the wrong, though I did not knew as I have seen many parking there before. Anyway the notice is not legible/overwritten as it is completely malaligned. 1. I cannot read the PCN number / I showed to few my friends and they could not read either.(Is it mandatory to have a readable PCN number for the ticket to be legal?) 2. The space for reduced fine and full fine is empty. 3. All writting is malaligned and there are many numbers all over the place, like time, attendant number, the fine etc. The amount of reduced fine is seen as 50.00 (I assume) somewhere away and no £ next to it. The amount of full fine is maligned and overwritten on the print and I cannot read the amount. Can I challenge the PCN based on not issuing the notice properly?/ The attendant not taking reasonable care to issue the notice If they reject the appeal, what should I do? The notice is from UKPC - from free retail park car park and and I have not seen these people until recently.
