Hi to all, I'm hoping to gain some information regarding a CCJ I knew nothing about and cannot be traced!!! Story... I made an application for a tenancy on a house with my husband and was turned down due to credit. So we checked Experian and Equifax all was ok no problems. Was then told about Call credit and searched them and found I have a CCJ logged against me during 2007 at an address I hadn't lived in since 2005. When ringing the court they tell me who logged it.... Cyclone Asset management, having rung them they say because it was so long ago I will have to deal with the company who the money was payable to... Kays catalogue... so I ring them and they have no record of me with that name or that address... So, I can't pay it even if I wanted to. Debt is £387 I never even knew one had been filed as I hadn't been living at that address for two years. Any ideas as to where to go or what course of action to take, clearly with this being on my record I can't get a tenancy, I'm not certain it belongs to me although it was my old married name and nobody appears to want to accept that they filed the court papers. The court said it might be a good idea to send in a N244 form, would this help.. It's all a real shock as I thought I had a clear credit history and with it not showing on Experian I've never worried about anything.....
