not necessarily so. the way torrents work is you share tiny bits of a particular file among a large group of users. you do not share the whole file with every user, it just wouldnt work that way. to say they can charge more for that is wrong, you are still only uploading ONE copy or LESS of the file. its many times faster to download than upload so by that you are never going to upload remotely close to that what you have downloaded. the maximum they should be asking for is to cover ONE copy

i can't see how they can know who your computer is 'talking' to regarding this, so how can they possibly know how many people you have shared it with? i'd say they have either; * counted how mant ppl are sharing the file and used this * counted how mant ppl are sharing the file and guessed a proportion of this * lied, and picked the number out of their arse i believe number 3 to be most likely no way for them to tell who you have shared with. they can only know that you shared with their computer
