hi, will try to sumarise my anger with npower. have been paying quarterly bills and i one day got a letter saying i was £297 in credit so i rang them asking how and they said a meter exchange had occured and they had to cancel my previous bills and will create a new one so im not really in credit at all!!! what!!!! when i moved in last june i wanted to move the supplier to edf but i struggled to do this as they couldnt establish which meter was mine etc, (i live in the basement flat of a house with 2 other flats) when they checked the national grid the meter serial number was a totally different address. so i had 2 stay with npower. no meter exchange has ever taken place the meter is the same one as when i moved in. its a different meter to the other flats. i reckon im paying for the whole buiildings gas supply. they are now saying that its £400 for the year. i live in a tiny 2 bedroon flat the gas is only used for the heating and i only had that on for a very short time in the winter months so i refuse to believe that it can add up to £400. really??? i asked them to send me a copy of all the readings and the payments ive made and which meter it was from as i have a bill that has the other flats meter number on. they havent sent me this accurately yet so am gonna wait for that and then call them. do you think they are right cuyz i lived in a one bed flat before i moved here and i paid £20 a month dd for a year and when i moved out edf paid me back over £100 for my gas usage. help thanks
