  1. Some years ago, I had a credit card with MBNA. I don't remember how many years I had it for, but I cancelled it and closed the account in August, 2006. In September, 2009, I received a letter from a firm called Debt Managers, telling me I owed £247 to MBNA and that the debt had been passed to them for collection. I called Debt Managers explaining I had no knowledge of such a debt and asking them to send me a copy of the statement MBNA are saying was unpaid.
