  1. My elderly neighbour spent thousands on a walk in shower from a company aquability in December 2010 on saturday she notice water leaking from underneath the tray,it appeared that a pipe under the tray had failed. She rung the company who were closed for the weekend!. The whole shower unit is sealed and the only way to get to the pipe work to isolate the bathroom water supply was to remove a panel from the side which one of our neighbours did. The people who installed this had put the isolation taps in a 6inch wide space and they faced the wall so you couldn't turn them off. The only way to stop the water was to turn the water supply off simple you might think but we live a row of cottages on a shared water supply (Great Victorian plumbing) so the whole road had no water. After ringing the insurance company they sent a plumber who would not touch it with out permission from the company who installed it. We rang Aquability this morning only to be told that "it's not there problem it's not there pipe" Um how do they know they havent seen it and as we had removed the panel the warrenty is now obsolete. They would be prepared to come and fix it on Friday at a cost of £740.00. We then rang the insurance company who told us that only outside pipes were insured not internal so we would have to find a plummer to repair it. We found a great guy who has isolated the plumbing in the bathroom and is coming to take the whole thing out tomorrow. Our argument is these isolation taps should be on the out side of the unit so that in a situation like this the water can be turned off not hidden behind a panel that has to be taken of to get to the plumbing. Does anybody know if we we can take this further with company because this poor lady is going to be thousands out of pocket
  2. two of my husbands collegues have been dismissed for inappropriate use of company diesel, the charge was downgraded from theft of company diesel, as they had no evidence. They had no intention of taking any of the diesel. They were dismissed on the 26th July and the appeal hearing was tomorrow which has been ajourned until the 6th september, we dont know why. They have been told that they will be re-instated and then dismissed again for the same offence and they will receive their normal salary until then. 1. Can you be dismissed for the same offence twice 2. If they are being paid have they really been dismissed
