Hi Lee Sorry to bother you again. My phone is now (waiting for me to collect it) at the Lowestoft branch. I was planning to attempt to get there today but could not. I'm pleased I didn't, as I've now received a letter from vodafone demanding I pay £150.00 by 4th Oct. When we spoke on the telephone I explained that I don't have that kind of money available. If vodafone take it from my bank account via direct debit......................I'll be bu**ered:-( I suppose the only thing to do is to allow vodafone to keep my mobile. Thank you again for your help with this. Kind regards Tina -

Thanks Lee. I have received a telephone call from Samsung repairs. Apparently, if they are not told to repair it by 5pm today, it will be sent back to me as it is! Kind regards Tina -

Hi Silverfox I'm not a 'Suffolker' either, though I did live in Suffolk for 25 years, so maybe I sound 'right' Seriously, the staff there are really helpful now. -

I've contacted vodafone online with the CAG 'tag'. The auto response number is 11814026 -
Lee, you're my final hope, before I lose my last shred of sanity:| April 2012 I purchased a mobile + a monthly contract directly from vodafone. I purchased the phone as I was told that this gave me 24 months warranty. In August ago the phone stopped charging. I contacted vodafone and was told I needed to take it to a store. I'm disabled, so it took me a while to be well enough. I took the phone into vodafone Lowestoft (lovely staff) on Tues 17th Sept. As I'd spotted on the internet that vodafone seem to wriggle out of repairing phones, I asked the staff at the Lowestoft store to check for damage while I was there. "No" they said "No damage. It's immaculate." I received an email yesterday from vodafone repair centre advising me that if I wished the phone repaired, I needed to pay £150. On speaking to them today, they said that as it has 'physical damage', they can't repair it without the £150. This 'physical damage' has obviously appeared from nowhere. So Lee, not only am I paying a monthly fee for a phone I no longer have. Vodafone expects me to pay £150 for repair(which I so do not have), though each department ADMITS that the phone IS in warranty. I'd be so grateful if you could advise me what to do. I simply cannot get through on the usual telephone number. Kind regards Tina

will i go to prison if im prosecuted for second benefit fraud
tinafromeast replied to spysgirl's topic in Benefits and HMRC
Sweetheart, Go to bed & try to sleep. There is nothing you can do until Monday, so you must push it from your mind (easier said than done, I realise). I REALLY can't imagine that you'd end up in prison even if you were guilty. So please try to stop worrying, or all you'll do is drive yourself and the kids . Night night. Off to bed myself. -
Best of luck for today Rae x

Does anyone care how they make us feel?
tinafromeast replied to tinafromeast's topic in Benefits and HMRC
Well I was lucky with the gentleman on the telephone who rang to tell me my ESA had been stopped. He was lovely. I was really referring to the people that can read an ESA form spelling out how physical pain is with me 24 hours a day, then examine me and see this is true. Look into my eyes and see the mental pain too & still reccommend that I score '0' points. Glad that you were "the first type":-) Take care Tina -

Thanks for all of your replies x I've left it until tomorrow now, hoping I'll wake up ready for a fight:| -
On ESA since November. Medical last month. On Thursday I received the expected phone call telling me I had 'failed' the medical. It was a very pleasant guy who told me and admitted that most of his phone calls were to tell people that their money would be stopped. I felt sorry for him, but still quite optimistic and asked him to send me an appeal form. Today the decision papers arrived. seeing in black and white that I'd scored '0' points has really hit me hard:|. The day I had my medical I was having a very bad day both physically and mentally, yet I'm apparently 100% fit. I'm being tested for MS at the moment, as I have chronic pain. I also have had depression and anxiety for years. I worked in a job that I hated, that became increasingly difficult to do, for 9 years. Just after I left this job my marriage ended. I was not well enough to claim JSA. So, back to my title. Do these decision makers and doctors carrying out the medical, ever consider the impact that these letters have? I'm feeling like a pathetic, lying, loser today. Hope you don't mind me ranting. I'm not angry, just sad. The sun is out, so I shall drag my miserable self and aching body outside. Thanks for reading and I wish all of us going through this crap at the moment, some peace of mind x
