No i haven't. To be honest when the letters came through I just payed up no questions asked :-s hmmm i think maybe they found their ideal customer! How do i go about SAR'ing HSBC? Do i jsut arrange an appointment or send a letter? Thank you sooooo much for your help. I hope that I have actually been paying my debt off! x

I had letters from HSBC saying that the time limit for the student account had ended and i would be charged interest if i did not repay it in full, the usual after graduation congratulations from the bank. I moved house about a year before Lewis Group got in touch, having not informed HSBC of my move so I do not know if they sent any letters to my old address. The first i heard of them was a letter addressed to the occupyer saying they were trying to contact me. I ignored this letter until i recieved the threathening ones about bailiffs.

Hi i am hoping someone can help. 14 months ago I received a letter from the Lewis Group stating i owed £1800 to them, which HSBC had asked them to collect. This was a debt from a student account i had forgotten about and i had moved house so do not know if HSBC tried to contact me. I rang Lewis Group, rather terrified that they were going to send bailiffs round, and arranged to pay £50 a month. I had to send details of my wages and bills to prove this was all i could afford to pay. In total I have payed around £700 to them - though i have never recieved anything through with a statement of my payments or how much interst they are charging? My bank (Halifax) have given me a new debit card - therefore the old debit card number they were using for payments is no longer valid. i was going to contact them to give them the new details, but having now googled and read on this page issues with Lewis Group, I am concerned as to whether i owe them money at all! Have I just fallen prey to their trap??? Any comments would be gratefully received. Thanks
