1. update on this one, got home today with letter saying their investigation sides with me Full refund. If I hadnt been on this site and had your good advice it quite easily have gone 9k the other way! As & when cheque arrives I will certainly be donating!! thanks to all, esp Dx, & ColeDog!!
2. Hi! ok so 1 )Said it was done online so my fault ( abridge comments obv) 2) wasnt aware that my work benefits ( redundancy , 6 months full and 6 months half was more than adequate compared to their cover, was not made aware of alternative cover that could be purchased through 3 rd parties which would be a) cheaper b) have better cover. i still also maintain thatPPI was pre selected on the site. 3) It was , £30 over the limit ( of circa £200) when defaulted by them, when they actually cancelled the card I think it was just over due to that months charges 4) awaiting SAR to list but having done previously "calcs" i make it close to £700 . So when I get SAR back and calculate it all, whats next step? oh and to answer earlier post no NOA to allied , they are working on behalf of BC
3. Will do DX. Tbh, not too worried about them ( without wanting to sound blasé) , just want to go down the reversal of charges correctly. If FOS not an option should I be taking them to small claims ( after legal letters) or awaiting them to do it and using this as counter?
4. Hi citizen B, will double check the letter, had no NOA through.
5. Hi ok brief summary, I have been fighting with Bcard to get PPi refunded after cancelling the PPI cover. I didnt push too hard until they cancelled my card after then sent a final " no" letter about a year ago now. Although I guess I ll need to await SAR and full calcs I suspect this turns a £290 final balance into a £450 credit refund. Last week I received the usual letter from Allied, a DCA. Questions or confirmation I guess of first steps and end goal. i presume initial steps are to CCA Allied and SRA Barclaycard? Is the end goal to send the legal letters or do I have a better course of action? I presume the FOS will not be interested as I left it too long since their "no" letter? My end goal is to be refunded PPI, charges and interest plus have credit markers removed Any help from the gang appreciated
6. ok so update, as much for me as anyone proof sent off today via spec del
7. Ok , just wanted to ensure if wasn't a stalling tactic with little legitimacy.
8. Hi all! So update, get home today to a letter staying as I am now at a new address I must supply proof . A stalling tactic I presume. Anywhere I can point them to the fact it is not needed and to shift themselves into gear OR is it indeed up to me to supply?
9. Thanks, Well letters gone by Recorded del, wish me luck Calendar entry made for 8 weeks time
10. Thanks Dx, very much appreciate your help ..and patience.... is there a standard covering letter, you know the sort that puts the fear of god into banks
11. ok so i have completed the attached 2 files. first is my calculations as to the rolling PPI. The second is the breakdown
12. ok i THINK i have done the same calculation....but in a different way. let me revisit though
13. yes back in 2010, unfortunately all I got was teh attached statement from 01/09/05 . I think this is all we may have to play with
14. Hi, no thats all 4 loans. post 194 has all the agreements, except the first one they couldnt at the time provide. was a v quick re loan period!!
15. right ok so re done. Have added the last monthly Ppi til the end of the 48 months with the thinking that DCA would ve taken whole amount including ppi when chasing... is that correct?
16. Ah... Even if it was a one off charge on beginning on loan?
17. HI Dx, here you go. The PPI rollover i couldnt see anything to calculate for me so done manually..
18. Thanks DX! all calculated, the 4 PPI forms completed and ready to send
19. Sorry!! Me again. Been busy. Can I run something past people? Just to check my thinking out as I may be well off bat. Last loan 22:07/05, ppi amount 1855, 2848 days ago at .002 interest per day is 10566.08 interest. Is that right??? I'm sure the maths is correct but is my logic behind it sound?
20. Started looking at this today. 3 loans ( 2 rolling over) all with ppi in initial lumps. Finding it hard to see if I basically paid 3 ppi for 3 or whether the 2nd loan amount refunded the initial amount.
21. I ll see if I kept it or "filed" it. You remember well CD it was a loan on top of a loan. Will start looking into that tomorrow. Does the SBd amount offset the ppi claim?
22. Ok that's good to know. A further weight off the mind anyway. Had a letter saying it had been assigned to Buchanan n Wells. Can't remember tbh if I kept it. Re ppi, feels strange as been saying for 3 years ( I feel) to prove it . And now I am saying cough up the ppi I paid. I don't leave myself open do I? If not how would I start processing and even working out how much is owed? I have the last loan but it is an "extension" so know there's more added. Also finally can they still just take what is refunded off their supposed final balance?
