  1. the general gist I'm getting is my only choice is to go overdrawn again. Would it be to my advantage if I made an appointment to see someone in charge at my jobcenter, they did botch my ESA in the first place & expalin the situation.
  2. I'm coming off the ESA as from today & have made a new claim for JSA as my doctors were reluctant before to help & the thought of asking for a new certificate filled me with dread, I also have a feeling they would refuse it. My new problem I need advice on is my JSA claim won't start till the 09/03 & I have bills to pay next week, the first lady was helpful but said she doubts I will get the missing week backdated(the 12/02 till 21/02 when I made my new claim online). I have been advised to make a application for a crisis loan or a budgeting loan to help then pay it back on the 09/03 but when I phoned the reply was my needs aren't considered urgent & a budgeting loan is required but when I phoned about this I was told that a crisis loan is needed. just to add the money I need is to pay for Febs rent to my parents, a £50 bank charge as the last nightmare with esa put me overdrawn & £10 for a catalogue which is now overdue, it totals 100£ altogether but am I being dumb in thinking it is urgent for myself?
  3. I have had trouble with a medical certificate that I obtained on the 01/02/11. I was only informed on the 27/01/11 that the first 13 week had expired & the earliest doctors appointment was on the 01/02/11. I too this new certificate to my jobcenter to get it scanned the same afternoon, no payment were showing still on the 04/02/11 so I contacted the jobecenter & went to have it scanned again.I waited till the 07/02/11 when no payment was showing still & needed the payment urgently, I contacted the jobcenter & the only info I could get was my doctor said I needed to get a new certificate, I made an appointment with the citizens advice the same day, I was reffered to an advisor for the 08/02/11 at midday. I called the jobcenter again on the 08/02 but still got no new info other then the certificate was rejected. at the citizens advice the lady contatced a lday (edit) I belieive & she infoemed us that the certificate had unkown in the date end column which made it invalid despite being told to ask for the date to be put as unknown, I informed my jobcenter of the issue & was told by them that unknown is a valid reply. I made a doctors appointment on the 09/02/11, I could only see a different doctor who was unable to give me a new certificate advising to see the original doctor, he also said that unkonwn is a valid reply, I saw the practice manager a (edit) & she said the same & booked the earliest appointment with dr tivari for the 10/01/11 at 4:30pm. I sought advice from some consumer forums about this issue because I was being caught in the middle of all of this & needed the payment. I saw dr (edit) on the 10/02 & she gave me new certificate. I took this to my jobcenter on friday 11/02 & got it scanned hoping this would be the end of the matter. I check my account on the Friday & Saturday but no pending issue has been shown by the DWP. as of today I have gone overdrawn with my account & the matter is ongoing. I will be seeking legal advice on the 14/02 with how my case has been dealt with, as I think its disgraceful & showing great disrespect for clients, I went onto ESA because I am suffering anxiexty & panic attacks, this has made my condition a lot worst due to the worry & stress of all this now. any help or phone would be good, how long it take to show in a bank account or for the instruction to through(I thought it was 24hrs)
  4. No - none of this has been explained, my advisor the arkward sort shall we say & the KS place seem to take to more people than others. As far as I understand - VB work or education would make me a candidate for income support as long as its under 16 hours a week & pending a interview with the job center.
  5. Sorry yes - well the options I've been told are finding work for a few hours a week & claim income support, volanteer work won't count but I've been told by 3 people now that if we arranged it as unpaid work - if the employer hires me directly & cuts out the volanteer bureau I could claim income support. I've also got a lot of info on permitted work, if I did further education which I am open to & the ESA/signing off route which I'm not keen on at the moment because it limits a lot of what I can do. Finding a few hours work is harder than many expect, I'm always weary of the ones which say start tomorrow so I aviod them, the earliest interview I have is for an after hours bar worker (just cleaning up the furniture after it shuts) for 10 hours a week but thats not until the first tues in Sept.
  6. Yep its a new deal course, no options have been discussed, when I asked my advisor to explain what my LAP form was she said I can sign it or be dismissed, when I asked to sign the new payment so I'll be paid under new deal & not JSA I asked to read through it all proper because al ot of info was being given & no options discussed she said I'll sign it now or I'll be dismissed, she got her manager who was a lot nicer but was in a rush.
  7. Hi - a bit about my situation, I have been out of work for over a year now, I recently completed a hopsitality course at college & I was sent to a place called Kennedy Scott which is just CV work & intensive Job search, I've been put onto it for 13 weeks now. During the course we were left unnattended for most of the time & the computers were scarcrely working, I haven't had panic attacks for 6 or 7 years now & I started feeling bad at the end but managed to keep it hiddne, we wasn't given any medical forms to complete but I did state I'm on medication for migraines & some other reason(not really keen on saying I'm agoraphobic). I had some volanteer work lined up to gain some admin experience as catering & bar work is this on the ground. My job center advsior has been pretty cold as are the staff at KS, there people skills are poor. the problems arising are I'm struggling to go to this place & feeling bad. they are arguing that I can attend or without any benefits for 13 weeks. also they are saying because I attened college & I have been appling for work my agoraphobia is - well basically they saying its fake. But being in a room with a large group of people where half have been pretty cold & the rules are strict is completely different to doing volenteer work for my local CAB(which is 3 hours a day & going through forms 1 2 1 with clients). I'm in a quandry of what to do really, I've asked a lot of forums & people 99% have been unsympathetic or helpful, I spoke to a lady who works with law based issues & she has said I have a few options & the best is to do the CAB work & declare it as unpaid work then claim income support. Any help would be greatly appreciated. lastly I won't answer to rude comments like other forums have done, agorphobia IS A medical condition & it can come on all of a sudden.
