  1. To be honest I wouldn't wait as they are not entitled to charge you a Brokers fee until they have found you a loan. Here is the body of the letter I sent to them last year: I can't help with the UKASH voucher, as I have never heard of them but it sounds a bit fishy!! Hope this helps, Peter.
  2. I had the same problem with them last year, they took £69 out of my account. However, I sent a letter by recorded delivery pointing out that they were not entitled to take funds from my account until they had found me a suitable loan and that I would report them to the FSA, my MP and the Chief Constable of Kent Constabularly if they did not return the money forthwith. I received a cheque in the post within ten days. I am surprised that this firm is still trading, has the FSA or OFT not caught up with them yet?!
  3. Well their licence seems to have expired, so I assume they are trying to get a new one or have decided to operate without one (or have been refused). I reckon they are getting scared and can't afford any more complaints. Probably the threat of legal action frightens them.
  4. Received a cheque this morning for £54. Not too worried about the £5 to be honest. Just goes to show how spineless these people really are! Won't be making that mistake again. Thanks again for the helpful advice and input on this forum.
  5. Unfortunately I did not get to the post office last night and this morning they have took £59. I am sending them this letter and have rang my bank. The bank says they cannot do anything until it appears on my statement on a couple of days time. Hope they don't take anymore otherwise I will be overdrawn. Pete.
  6. Hi, I also fell for Wentworths tactics. I had a e-mail from them last week offering me a £1,000 loan at 15.2% apr and that they would send me some paperwork through the post. I had a phone call a day later saying that I had been approved for a loan (at the same terms) whom I assumed was from Wentworths. I foolishly gave her my debit card number and told her to take the money (£59) out today as this is the day I get paid. It was only afterwards, having had two phone calls from a company called "British Finance" (who I can't find information from) also offering me the same deal that I got suspicious. So far, no money has been taken from my account but I am posting them a letter today telling them not to take any money. I tried to fax in but surprise surprise the fax just rings out. This is the body of the letter. Hopefully this will do the trick, if they do take some money from my account then I will be sending them a letter demanding a refund. I am certainly willing to take this further with the authorities, if they don't. Anyway thanks to reading the advice on this thread I have some idea what to do, so thankyou everyone. Peter.
