  1. The fault was found by a garage that I have used for over 3 years and 4 of our family also use. His advice to me was to "sell the car ASAP" before I told him that we had only had it a week.
  2. but what about this: More importantly I just want to make sure that I can legally chase something. It has taken me 3 years to save for this car. I can not afford a £1400 bill if they outright refuse help. I am also very against having them repair it as I do not trust the car going out of my sight.
  3. Hello. I purchased a scenic for £2195 from what appeared to be a good local used car dealer 8 days ago. 2 days ago a service light came on so I got it booked into my usual garage to be given the once over. I have since found out that the fuel pump is worn and that this has meant metal has contaminated the entire fuel system and will cost the best part of £1400 to fix properly. I have a warranty but it states that none of these components are covered. I am wondering where I stand as to getting my money back. I would rather not have them repair it. So far all we have done is
  4. The trouble is that I do not have all statements i am probably missing 20 or so out of the 60. I guess I would try the approach of the OP before unleashing the CAG power Thanks! Lewis.
  5. I've had an account since 2007 - I have absolutely no reason to believe I would have accepted this "Extra Care Advantage" Looking back I could be owed over £400 - worth chasing? I sent them an email asking what it was and they sent back an email which didnt make sense to me and just had numbers of different departments... I dont want to deal over the phone. Lewis
  6. Thanks mate, Is it worth me popping into (card company) in person and making a fuss?
  7. No, I would not have a need to. Even if I had incurred a penalty somehow how could they find and charge my credit card? I never use it for anything. The card company were rather useless on the phone, I am none the wiser as to what has happened but should expect a letter from their investigations section in the next couple of days.
  8. Hello, I recently checked my credit card statement and found a £75 charge for this. G24 Parking Charge, Beaconsfield Retailer name: G24 Parking Charge Business type: Business Services, Not El Town: Beaconsfield Country: Great Britain Payment method: Telephone/Mail Order PIN Used: No I have not received any tickets through the post, and have definitely not made any payments to one. How could they charge my credit card with no warning or has someone falsely given them my details? Thanks Lewis.
