Hi everyone. Am new here. Will take time a bit later to introduce myself properly. In the meantime, I have a CCJ for a Monument Credit Card debt, which I pay monthly through court agreement. When I defaulted Monument was owned by Barclaycard. After numerous phonecalls yesterday I am unclear who I owe the money to. Monument say they have handed back their Barclaycard clients to Barclaycard and have no record of my account at all. Barclaycard say that they have no record of my account, as the debt was passed to an agency. This was initially Eversheds in Leeds. The reason I'm giving this detail is that although initially Eversheds were administrating collection of my monthly payments, this then passed to Fairfax in Leeds, and ahead of time, I was sent a letter giving me the relevant details about the change in whom I was to make payments to, when etc. There have been no problems until yesterday. When I phoned Fairfax to make a telephone payment, they told me that the client had 'pulled' the account with them and that they were no longer administrating it, but could give me no futher information about who had taken it over and who I needed to contact. I was very surprised as I had not, and still haven't, received any notification from whoever has taken the debt over about who and how to pay. As mentioned above Barclaycard and Monument were adamant it wasn't being handled by them, so what do I do?? I'm trying to pay in accordance with my monthly payment agreement and no-one has come forward to ask for my payments. It is due by the 4th of each month and I normally pay it on 28/29th of the previous month to give bank clearance time. Any help would be much appreciated as I don't know who to contact or what to do, no-one seems to want my money!! (for once)
