SMI support has nothing to do with DLA,i would say its more to do with your working non dependent

Hi all Just received esa50 form,need some advice please on filling in the form. Would i be better off having disability alliance fill it in for me has they would word it better? A little about me i went in for ninth op in nov 10 and i am due to go back in for another op in march/april now i know i am not going to be capable of work just after having a op done.I wont bore you with a complete breakdown of whats been going on with me it is too complicated.but i dont know and consultant doesnt know how the op will go and what needs to be done,as mentioned previous very complicated. any advice please. benefits im on is wrag esa DLA

Thanks speedfreek I contacted dwp soon as i knew id been put into wrag,they werent that helpful the only thing they told me was if i was unhappy with the decision write to dwp stating i was unhappy with decision they gave me and to put it all in writng then send it to dwp,on monday first thing i will be phoning and asking for a copy of report then i shall get gl24 form and take it from there. Will any part of appealing cost me any money,after reading other foums they have had representatives surely they dont come cheap?

Another thing whats on me mind is the unknown person i saw yesterday at the job centre,after she told me she was putting me in touch with remploy i would have to attend another 5 interviews ,no problem with that.I then asked what happens after the 5 interviews with remploy,Well i may as well have phoned me mum and asked her,so the mystery unknown person didnt really know.Does anybody out there have any idea as to what happens after the 5 interviews?

The thing that is on my mind is i live on my own will that go against me?secondly i was on benefits and work website reading sample pages on how to appeal,in one of the sections which is called IS THERE ANY RISK IF YOU CHALLENGE A DECISION.One of the answers was IF YOU WERE AWARDED ESA BUT PUT INTO WRAG AND YOU FEEL YOU SHOULD BE PUT IN SUPPORT GROUP.CHALLENGING THE DECISION IS A POTENTIAL RISK THIS IS BECAUSE BY ASKING TO HAVE THE DECISION LOOKED AT AGAIN YOU OPEN UP THE POSSIBILITY THAT A NEW DECISION WILL BE MADE THAT YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO ANY RATE OF ESA AT ALL.When i read this well you can probably guess what i was thinking,maybe someone could reassure me that its not that bad,oh i do know that anything like this there is a risk involved.

Hi all found out today via my bank balance ive been put into wrag from support group.certainly not able to work at the moment im still in a lot of pain and plus where they cut me open hasnt healed yet either.Waiting to go back into hosp for yet another op.by me going from one group to another im 20 pounds down a week which is a lot of money should i appeal,if i appeal what happens regarding money etc and whats the process of appealing. Been today for my pathways to work interview she wasnt from pathways and she didnt know who i was,she is now going to put me in touch with remploy.Has anybody heard of remploy who are they? any good? and what do they do?

Hi all I,ll get straight to the point,rented me house out last year took out landlord ins buildings only.i have moved back in for now, thinking of renting again maybe sometime in 2011,can i just keep landlord ins with me in the property to save changing back and forth from one to the other just saves paperwork etc.am i breaking any law?

Ive had my medical just over two weeks ago ans just received a pathway to work interview for next week.Does this mean im no longer in support group and they think im ready for work?

Possible solution to the esa problem.We both know that there are genuine claims and fraudulent claims.Instead of giving both fraudulent and genuine claims chances to fill in forms,medicals,appeals etc etc.Just ask claimants GP or consultant.save a lot of time and money oh and worry.My consultant would be more than happy to discuss if im fit to work or not.

point taken i know no ones to blame i just wish that they could look at people who are genuinely ill and realise we got a lot going on with health, hosp appts,doctors nurses,etc etc without being bombarded with such complicated paperwork.sorry for the rant.

Thanks why is anything to do with benefits so complicated.This is my first experience being out of work and claiming benefits,to my knowledge all the conversations i have had with dwp i dont think even they know whats going on.i never thought becoming ill was so complex.

i do get premiums and dla.and worried that while im in hospital having no money coming in plus i dont know how long i will be in hosp,the last op i had was dec09 which was supposed to be approx two wks,because of complications i had another op 8 days later after my first op.so i had 2 ops in dec 09.where it ended up me spending 5wks in hosp.

how does he live with no money coming in

Thank you im due to go back into hospital sometime this year i hope,for my ninth operation.where do i stand on them making a decision on my capability to work,as i have no definite date for my op.

hi after reading some of the other nightmare medicals other people have had for esa.should i just send appeal form now instead of going for my medical tomorrow or if i do go to medical i could get medical assessor to sign my appeal form. any advice.
