  1. He got a valuation but she would not agree to putting up for sale. We really believed that if she got lodgers in that she would pay until she was in a position to take on the mortgage alone. Repossession court date has been set for 3rd August. We still hope to pay off debt, sign her out and take over house or sell on rent back scheme but need to look into this. We have tried every method of communication with her and family but we are getting no response and scared to start payments if she will just stay living there. The mortgage company are Halifax who have said they will sign into my partners name only when £8k has been paid off but we will not have this money immediately. Thank you so much for your time
  2. Hello, I will try to keep this as short as possible. My partner signed into a joint mortgage 3 years ago but whilst both parties were still living there they separated. My partner was the only one paying Mortgage but my partners ex would not sign out, move out and made it uncomfortable for him to live there. He moved out, filed for divorce and informed the mortgage company he would stop payments. He asked her to move out and put the house up for sale or get help from family and take over mortgage. She did neither. 1 year later and she has accumulated nearly £8k in arrears. A court date has been set for repossession notice. My partner and I now have a tiny baby and cannot face the debt we will be in. We hoped there would have been a resolve by now. We are offering to take over mortgage, move into the property and pay off the arrears leaving her debt free but she is not communicating. How can we avoid repossession? I am worried that she will just stay living there until the law forcibly remove her. We are prepared to re-start payments and give her reasonable time to move out but fear she will stay put and we cannot afford to pay mortgage and rent. We would need to live there. If that happens we will be paying money only to go through the whole process again a few months down the line. Would the courts order an eviction notice if there is no agreement between her and lender but there is agreement from my partner? Thank you for your help, I am remaining positive through these dark times and refuse to let it spoil the splendor of motherhood. It is very difficult. Thank you again if anyone has any advice
