  1. According to Equifax Table One can be seen by lenders etc, Table Two is private (and that's where all the searches I do myself are located)
  2. Thanks for that info Citizen B Can you help me on another point? I have noticed a search by Debt Managers Ltd who I have never heard of, they have certainly never written to me to let me know who they are and which debt they concerned with. I have asked Equifax to remove the search but don't hold out much hope. Surely random DCA's can't go searching without so much as telling me who they are first?
  3. Hi everyone I haven't been on here for a while but I need some advice if anyone can help please. I have several accounts which are very close to being Statute Barred (within the next two months) however these accounts seem to be changing DCA hands like wildfire. Several of these DCA's perform Outstanding Debt searches in Table One of my credit file. The accounts will drop off my credit file shortly, but obviously the debt still exists even if the DCA can no longer take me to court. Can they keep making searches until the end of time? Basically they are affecting my credit for 8 years instead of 6 by doing these searches and if they do one every year I will never be free of them. Also, is a debt actually Statute Barred if the DCA have been trying to make contact by letter and phone? Does writing to me constitute trying to collect the debt and therefore I can't claim it is actually SB? Please can anyone help me? Thanks
  4. Hi Rebel11, thanks for the reply. I believe there was PPI (the debt is for an old Abbeyloan, not so old as to be statute barred just yet, about 18 months away from that) but I've never looked into claiming it back.
  5. Hi there. I've been browsing these forums for some time now and I find them very reassuring. I don't think I have ever posted before but I'm really confused about CCA requests and I think Link Financial may be about to issue county court summons. I'm trying to sort out my options if they take this route. I intend to do the CCA request, but since they are allowed to do a reconstituted version rather than locating the original signed copy, what's to stop them (or any other DCA) from simply making it up as long as they know what address I was at, at the time? Surely anybody can cobble something together and call it the terms and conditions? Only looking for general advice right now, but if I get the summons as expected, then I'll definitely be back for more help. They located me at work which proves they are doing alot of digging on me Many thanks for any advice given.
