hi to all members,not sure where to post this so forgive me if in wrong place, anyone up on mis-sold endowment policys, I have tried twice with the company that used a financial adviser to sell me this policy and the company that it was setup with back in april 1988. They just pass it on without accepting liabilty. The reply I get in the end is the policy was taken out in april 88 and the law regarding these policys did not come into effect till may 88 a month later thats a load of bull i say, does anyone know of the law changing in a month ,it usually takes years to pass a bill through. A company called OAC wrote to me on behalf of my endowment company, to say i had no complaint due to the above, and that I had no right to complain to the ombudsmen either. My complaint was not based on the above, it was based on the financial adviser not giving me the correct information and that he failed to tell me that there would be a shortfall in the policy and that it would not reach its target, but I could not get them to accept that purely based on me taking out the policy a month to early, am i physic i didnt even know what an endowment policy was or wat it did back in 1988, all i know was without me taking it out the adviser refused to help me setup a mortgage. Is there any place that will help me I am at a loss now thanks.
