you should also attempt legal action against the police or at least complain to the ipcc as what they told you was bollocks. it is a criminal matter because the seller made no attempt to send the item you had paid for. if you were to have received the item and then were not happy with the quality, then that wouldhave been a civil matter. the police are being lazy and not wanting to investigate.

hi, can someone offer advice. I bought a tv from curry's 11months ago (1yr warranty) the tv will turn itself off at random intervals and will not come on again until the power cable is unplugged and then plugged back in. this only seems to happen when a pc is connected via the vga socket, I have tried using different vga cables and the other pc's in the house but it still occurs. I took it into the shop and they kept it for a week, they said they plugged a pc in and left it running for a week and the tv didn't switch off so they concluded nothing was wrong and refused to help. the trouble is that the problem can sometimes occurs 3/4 times a week, or go 2-3 weeks without reoccurance thanks in advance

hi I've just registered as a seller on ebay and have noticed that it is mandatory to offer paypal as an accepted payment, I can ask the buyer to pay by cheque etc but if he wants to use paypal then I am not allowed to refuse it even though my listing states cash on collection/cheque only. is this not against EU competition laws. any advice thanks

because you have had it longer than 1 month they are well within their rights to offer a repair as long as it doesn't cause major incovenience to you. I agree that it is terrible customer service though.

if you can't get tesco to sort it, since the item is over £100, you are entitled to a chargeback on the credit card. the credit provider is jointly liable if there is a problem with the purchase!

hi, I sold an item on ebay, the buyer sent a pic of the sticker that proves he had to pay £1.95 + £1 handling fee because when the item was delivered to him the stamps had fallen off. I paid £1.95 at the post office and have proof of postage to confirm this. can anyone advise on best way of claiming the money back from RM. thanks
