    Hello word soup I to have panic attacks etc and was so worried about tackling my debt, fearing all sorts. There is nothing to fear once you start to read around and learn your rights and start taking back control the fear starts going, it did with me. Hopefully you too. So far I have heard nothing at all regarding the DCA and if i do i am no longer afraid and will take the help and advice offered on here and move forward to being debt free. I have also recently lost one of my very loved very old cats. It puts the worry around debts into a different perspective really. Dont let them have any more of your emotions and energy, or rob you of peace of mind. Hold your head high and dont worry. Take care of yourself

    Hi wordsoup Just wanted to give my support. I started out a few weeks ago with these lovely people to tackle debt that has been hanging over me for years. I was frightened, ashamed. I now feel much more in control and not alone with it anymore. I hope you sort things out with the help of this great site. Very best of luck

    Barclycard keep returning the £10 and i would need to know the dates/amount of PPI as I didnt know I even had it. So do i go for SAR once more giving 21 days intsead of 40 as they have already had time to get the data I need, And put notice that i will take them to court for non disclouse if nothing within that time limit. And how to i begin to make a ppi claim? also would the interest be up unitl today on whatever the amount of ppi paid. Sorry for loads of question Thank you

    I will send yet another SAR on Monday the 4th, this is what i got back from my last SAR. What do I now about reclaiming PPI. Have read as much as i can but dont know where/how to start Any thoughts would be appreciated

    I lost one of my very loved cats on Monday, it was sudden heart failure. It wasnt the one with thryoid problems, although she is not so good, hoping i dont lose her just yet. I feel so sad. He was my friend for amost 18 years and i loved him so much.

    Have recieved letter from Barclaycard today. Its not my SAR they have returned the cheque. What they have said that it is relation to PPI. I may be able to scan up later if a friend can do it. It a sheet and gives some dates etc. It says under Account PPI Flag Y (yes) no premium present PPI start date 1995, this is against two different account numbers. Please any advice on what this means Thank you

    Hello Ro She has picked up, was crawling all over me this morning so good sign, she is 18, well both are, so shes an old lady. What a stressful few days i have had with her but yes we do love them, nothing i wouldnt do for them. Its a worry when they do a disappearing trick, only one goes out now and i like him in when it starts to get dark. A fire is cozy in the auntum/winter nights, enjoy. Have a peaceful weekend all. I am researching the DPA this weekend. exciting stuff!

    Thanks BB will do. Just had a look on the IOC website it states: " It is appropriate for the bank to retain data for as long as the customer has an account with the bank"

    Thanks BB I think its strange when the account is still live, or every 6 years all the banks would destroy all data regardless. I was also asked why I wanted it, I said thats personal. My account is still live therefore there would be no reason to destroy the data. Is there any relevant piece of legislation or anything i can quote to strengthen my argument. I have an appointment next Friday. I have to say that I seemed to cause a bit of a flap when i quoted stuff like DPA, FOS, IOC. Not that frightened person who first posted a few weeks ago.

    Thanks dx they are saying only for the past 6 years, my argument was that as the account has not changed from 1996 to now where is the data 1996-2006. I am prepared to take this to court for non disclosure but if they have destroyed older data how do i prove that and what can i do. I have read about Barclays having older data on mircofiche, does this apply to other banks? any info/advice gratefully received

    Hello all So far nothing from lewis. Dispute letter sent RD on the 5th. 21 days up next week. Have I by sending this letter exhausted their own complaints procedure and what do I next? SAR request from Santander, because i am trying to trace records for the years 2000-02 for info on what i have paid re debts. Time left 6 days, went into local branch today. Was told that a letter was sent out to me on the 24/9 returning £10 cheque and saying that they can only go back 6 years. Firstly have not received this letter, so have appointment next friday and they will put a track on this letter. Now I also said about relevant filing system/court for non disclosure, FOS, IOC (see what how you guys have educated me over past few weeks) My question does this 6 years apply when an account is still active, ie opened account 1996 and is ongoing, switched to Santander from A&L, from thier end. SAR to barclaycard so far request has not be returned so hopefully 3rd time lucky there. Would be so grateful for any advice. I have learnt alot and cotinue to educate myself but still need guidance and advice as a bit confused with it all. Many thanks

    Had a better day, vet gave anti biotic and anti inflammotory (cant spell sorry) she has a skin infection, it may be a side effect of the medication for her thyroid problem, see how she goes. How is everyone doing, getting colder ive noticed and darker earlier Take care all

    Hello Richard good to hear from you, how are you doing? Feels cold this morning, dont want to put the heating on just yet, all going up yet again. Hot water bottles are good I have 3 and cuddle them to warm up. I can hear the pelting rain sounds heavy. Just fed the cats and they have settled back to down to doze, lucky them eh, fall asleep just like that. Im feeling a lot less sore this morning. Was going to going have a walk up to the market today to get my eggs. I usually go on a saturday as i like to have poached eggs on toast for breakfast. See how much its raining later. Havent been out all week so could do with some fresh air really. Right of to make another cuppa. You take care Richard and have a peaceful day

    You have a creative streak there Rohanna, lovely getting home made cards, watch your hands, getting damper and colder all the old joints start creaking and groaning. Wow SG 6 years and you have survived must have been a trauma, I remember having no home when i left my husband very frightening, well done you on getting through and taking court action for others chasing you. I have been reading and lesrning so much, I may come back to you on tips there re court action. Its empowereing fighting back. Have a great meal out, enjoy. Lillibelle just think how much good comes from passing on your dads stuff for others to enjoy and use. Have a rest over weekend. You okay Richard? Cats are cuddled up to me, Im less sore today and just working my way through box of chocs that a friend brought round.     Good to hear from you Richard. Is there anything you do when you up in the night?, insommnia is difficult, it can be the time when the mind goes into overdrive with worry. Remember Richard that worry changes nothing, not always easy to stop I know, easier said than done. Anything you do in middle of the night to wile away those hours. I think the op and medication caught up with me yesterday, i was dozy (more than usual) on and of all day, and slept all night for a change last night. Still a bit sore but feeling better this morning. Rohannah eerything rossed for your day dealing with the DCA, hope it doesnt cause you to much stress, any words of comfort/support i can offer just shout. Hows the knitting sg and how are doing. Lilli give the cats a hug from mine. Mine are over 18 and one of them has thyriod problems, shes due a blood test on Monday, always a drama going oer the vet, cats hate going in the basket and i get stressed.     Morning Lillibelle Ive got my two on each side of me on the sofa, lovely and cosy. One of mine looked at me so funny last night she likes to sit on the arm of the sofa and loves to climb all over me, especially when im on the laptop, shes an attention seeker. Last night i just couldnt have her climbing over me because of the op yesterday not to mention pain. The look she gave me, she was not impressed, gave her lots of kisses to make up. Im of to try and get a couple of hours, medication plus sleppings pills yesterday and only got just over 3 hours sleep, its i agree a swine and a bummer.
