  1. Hi guys, just had a quick read and pretty confident im in the right place looking at how much you guys know about welcome. I received a text message from my local welcome office saying that someone had been round to my house with a notice of termination of my hp and that they are going to uplift the vehicle. As i had just moved address and had not informed them they were also going to report the car as stolen (i phoned the local bobbies and they are not interested as my names on the v5 etc) It then went on to say i could return the car to them to save extra charges to my account ie uplift charge and the charges that would cover getting an agency to track me down. Seems they cant make up their mind if their taking it or allowing me to hand it back (which they have refused to accept it back twice now as 1.they say there is to much in arrears & 2.they are not authorised at the local office to accept it back) Confusing and conflicting definately!! I was also told last week they will not sign the v5 which is ok as i have been in touch with dvla regarding this. Just as an insight i have approx £4k outstanding but i have paid more than half the agreement (almost 75%) of the finance. And they have said the personal loan i took out after the finance is also attached to the car (but is on a totally seperate account number etc) I just cant figure them out and what to do next as the head office will not deal with my calls or respond to my queries and the local office just make threats. Can someone please help or give advice on what i should do and what they can and cant do? I feel they are just trying lots of tricks to wear me down or force me into giving the car back. Just so you know the figures etc - im roughly 6 payments behind but agreed a month ago to start the repayments and add a little extra to catch up - which i duely done. I get paid on the 25th of the month and as i had not paid them on that date in April (which was a Sunday when they arent even open!!) they had someone out on the Monday with the termination letter ( i got paid on the Saturday 24th - and again they aint open ) so again just another unreasonable and stupid thing they have done. And yes i know its my fault for falling behind in the first place but unfortunately sometimes people struggle in tough times. Quite happy to give them the bloody thing back if it means i break ties with them but is it worth doing or just let them find it and take it themselfs. I was advised they need my permission to take it or if they do without my consent i can report it as stolen but i really dont know. Thanks in advance for any help and advice given. Scotty
