  1. Yep, private apartment complex so Police probably wouldn't want to get involved in a civil matter. Still, I really hate clampers when they do these kinds of things.
  2. Hi. Has anyone else been blocked in by a clamped car by private clampers? A neighbour stopped behind my car (my car was legally parked in it's own space) while she unloaded her child and her shopping (just for a few minutes as her space had been used by another car). In the time it took her to take them in and come out, she had been clamped. The neighbour had lost her job recently and said she didn't have the money to have it unclamped, meaning my car was blocked indefinitely. I told the clamper (who was still there) he had no right to block a legally parked car such as mine. He said it was 'collateral damage' and drove off. I removed her wheel and extracted the clamp without damaging it, then phoned the clampers to come and collect. Despite constant reminders they never collected and that was two weeks ago. Basically, my question is this... Can private clampers clamp a car if it blocks a legally parked vehicle?
