  1. All, Can someone help, I had a t-mobile broadband stick contract back in July 09, since then I have had trouble, it does not work and after several months of persuing the issue and new hardward sticks later, they have now said to me - they have pin pointed my actually house and I have no signal there, despite having to go through signal tests in order for them to give you the contract (which they said the service is available to me). The contract is £30 a month, as part of the deal when I took the contract out, it stated 'FREE laptop'. They offered me £5 reduction from my monthly contract as I cannot receive the service and stated to me I would have to continue paying for the laptop as though it was a cataloge purchase! I then replied with the fact the laptop was FREE and when I took out the contract not free mobile broadband when I purchased a laptop! Am I right to go down the trade descriptions act? or is there anything else I can do? At the moment I am paying for a service I cannot use, and have been since July 09 which has more than paid for the diabolical laptop!? Help? Thanks, Aimee.
  2. Thanks Aequitas but I am very confused, could you explain? Many Thanks, Aimee
  3. Hello everyone, Could anyone help please, I am currently renting a flat, the rent due date was the 9th of every month, however a couple of months into the tenancy, I asked it it could be moved if I pay extra, they agreed and the rent due date was changed to the 15th of every month (I paid them the equivalent of 1 weeks rent to move this). My 12 months has been and gone so now on a period tennancy, I gave one months notice on the 12th of April, to move out on the 12th May they have now said this is past your agreed 'rent due by' date and cannot now serve the notice until the 8th of May to move out 8th June! I have argued my point that my 'rent due date' is now the 15th not the 9th but they wont budge and said they will keep my deposit if I dont pay my rent until the 8th June! Is this right? I feel like they are being unfair and unjust! My deposit is protected by the dispute service. I checked my rental agreement and it states: "While the tenancy is periodic the one month's written notice must expire the day before a rent due date." Thanks in advance if anyone can help! Aimee.
