  1. Hi Bobcat2, The issue relates to storing of event data, so I dont think I would have been worried about this one, unless you are developing a .NET application?. And if your system is running alright, I think you can safely ignore it G
  2. Hi fletch, This may help you decide: Compared to POP3, IMAP allows users to log into many different email clients or webmail interfaces and view the same emails, because the emails are kept on remote email servers until the user deletes them. Because IMAP stores emails on a remote mail server, you’ll have a limited mailbox size depending on the settings provided by the email service. If you have huge numbers of emails you want to keep, you could run into problems sending and receiving mail when your box is full. Some users sidestep this problem by making local archived copies of emails using their email client, and then deleting them from the remote server. Using IMAP just means you have to be careful of the number of e-mails you keep 'in the cloud' and manually delete them. I personally have all 'remotes' set up using IMAP and my main lappy with POP3 which then stores the e-mails locally and deletes from the server. Just means that I can never see the e-mails on the 'remotes' once they are 'downloaded' to the lappy - usually do this once a week/monthly HTH G
  3. Hi UB, I agree - if 'streaming' is deemed copyright infringement then all users of iPlayer/Youtube, etc. will all be liable to be fined by some unscrupulous lawyer at some point. Of the 80+ requests to the different (multiple) German courts for ISP user details approx 25+ were rejected because the court took issues (re: streaming as opposed to download) Malibu Media also took a defeat in Münich court - where the court stated that a) they are not the owners of the movies, b) the movies had never been released locally in Germany and as such there is no copyright and c) as they are 'pure pornography' the productions are not 'personal intellectual creations' and are not entitled to protection under Germany's copyright laws.... G
  4. Hi Silverfox, If you have the MENU options active then select 'Tools' - 'Folder options' - 'View' and then ensure that the 'Show hidden files' is ticked, if not tick it and 'Apply'. This should then allow you to see all system and hidden files.. If you have no menu options active try activating using the ALT key - then follow the above Good luck
  5. Hi JackieOxon, Glad you got the SAR without too much difficulty - now you just need to disseminate the details and put in the request for refund+interest Can you elaborate on how to get information from Royal Mail, i.e. how do you enter the foreign tracking number (and where) G
  6. Hi, Check with Govan Law Centre - they may be able to suggest someone to use http://www.govanlc.com G
  7. Natwest are changing the travel provider from Thomas Cook to Affinion for Advantage Gold account holders. As Affinion are an American company they will not accept bookings to Cuba, Iran, Syria, etc. Therefore they will not be able to offer discounted travel and as such will be imposing American travel restirictions on UK citizens So I am paying for a service that is not usable - I like Cuba I am still waiting for all SAR information after 8 months G
  8. And how would the police manage to operate the two-way squalk I agree that hand-held should not be permitted due to the obvious dangers in using them. Next they will stop us from listening to the radio/travel alerts/tom-tom/speedos/etc.... as they are all distracting I am sure the car-phone companies will be lobbying the MPs very soon over this
  9. Just click on the word SAR when viewing the message in CAG
  10. Hi Sequenci, If the BK can be annulled then Wendy could progress with the PPI recalim? G
  11. Hi, I think that the BK was forced on Wendy using incorrect process (two mobiles and a CC combined as one, bad service, etc.) - The Mould (Sherlock) is on the case and the main thing is to get the BK annulled and then attack the debts. She also appears to have had bad luck with sols and cab advise Watson (aka - Wendy) is trying to fight on many fronts - this being one of them - getting to understand what the exact debt figure should be (if anything) The CC was quoted as 850 in the BK but if you remove the PPI and Fees then this drops way below the limit for BK The Trustee has no interest in the PPI from what I can gather and has made no effort in relation to this. Simply wants her pound of flesh + gravy G
  12. Hi Wendy, Been following your other thread with great interest - you are in good hands with Mouldy. Just from looking at your statements you can claim the PPI back, and DX is the master on this, if miss-sold I also noticed that you have Sentinel Card Protection as well (CPP by another name) - This can also be reclaimed (check the CPP forum) You also have lots of Fees added which I think may also be reclaimable Good luck and I hope you get the proof you need to annul the BK G
  13. Hi, As no one else has answered..... I think that ship sailed, re: ALL charges are at the banks discretion with regards to ACCOUNTS, but Loans, PPI, CPP or Credit Card charges are still up for gabs I am no expert, so if one of the more experienced caggers could verify G
  14. No PPI - was self-employed at the time
  15. Letter sent - now I wait for up to 8 weeks
  16. Hi, Decided to give BBS one last chance and sent them a letter pointing out my dispute 1. No company should require the consumer to indemnify them for a commercial loss 2. Provide invoices for the work carried out or refund in full - No caourt action was ever taken by BBS only a few letters from the 'arrears department' 3. Fees - unless they can provide a full breakdown of the reasonableness (i.e. this is a true cost) then refund in full 4. Correspondence in 2003 was in relation to balance of account and nothing else therefore not time barred Have given them 14 days to respond or it off to the FOS/FCA we glo G
  17. Hi, The limitations for Malta are Malta Generally, the limitation periods are: 5 years for contractual claims. 2 years for tortious claims. However, a variety of periods applies depending on the remedy sought. The limitation period is triggered: For contractual claims, on the day on which the obligation was due. For tortious claims, on the day on which the tort occurred. G
  18. Hi DX, CAP1 have never stopped applying interest to the account. The account has had a Zero Balance several times over the last few years though - thought this might alter the amount claimed I will send the rejection letter tomorrow, trackable. Will update when/if we get a reply G
  19. Hi, Quick question... Should the 'Claim to date' be the first date after the ppi was applied when the account returned to Zero Balance? G
  20. Hi, I intend to send off a quick missive to HBOS - nothing ventured, nothing gained Keep well eveyone G
