  2. Yes probably too much like hard work with all the charges they have applied to my account, their manual intevention on that would have cost me a fortune!
  3. Just been thinking, my LBA and subsequent letters were all based on the estimated figure (which was near spot on) that I wanted reimbursed. Woill this cause a problem in court...should it get that far? Money claim was submitted with the correct amount I gathered from online statements though, but will HSBC use the estimate figure as a way out? I sent them an email saying they can expect to receive court papers shortly with the actual figure based on online statements.
  4. Hi! I have waited 3 months for statements so far. I had trouble getting into my online statements online for a while but managed to in the end. I wonder if they have someone at the website control centre who makes it difficult for us BAG members! HSBC tried charging me twice for them too! Good luck!
  5. So many people have had their tenners waived, quick settlement offers, queries returned! I asked HSBC to tally total charges and they said they weren't able to!
  6. The amount of poo they throw, it would be hard to smell their billion pound profit! LOL
  7. Hi people, Do you know reading this site is the highlight of my days! Updates (can't remember where I got to so in brief): 1. Requesting statements I sent letter asking for statements and they had until the 17th April to comply. They sent me a form to sign for duplicate statements which I sent off same day. Received two bunches of random, incomplete statements within days of each other, two weeks later received a third bunch of random, incomplete statements - exact copies of the last bunch! HSBC debited £10.00 on the 24th April for duplicate statements. Call centre (ve
  8. Do anyone know if it would cause a problem should I address the 'letter before action' to the branch manager by name? Also when I issue a claim could I use the branch managers name or just HSBC?
  9. I have had exactly the same response! Along with the leaflet. So they are still sending standard responses even though we have asked them to enter into a sincere dialogue with us!!!
  10. Just to let you know Natwest offers a step account - very basic but my credit rating is pants and they let me on board even though I owe them money on an old business loan. P.S. So many HSBC customers seem to have their £10 DPA fee waivered. They tried charging me twice for statements and then haven't sent them!!!
  11. HSBC have either ignored my correspondence or 'passed it to the relevant department' who in turn ignored!!!! Yet when they wanted my loan repayment I had seven days in which to pay otherwise face action.
  12. That's great thanks. Can I find out how to contact the Information Commissioner with the estimated figure. Is he/she a figure for all the banks or just HSBC? Thanks for your help, will keep you posted!
  13. Yes, I used the letter from the library and gave them the 30 days to comply, the form they sent me to complete and sign included a tick box to debit the £10. Yes this is the case.
  14. I wrote to HSBC firstly in January to request my bank charges to be refunded, I was told this was impossible. I even cried at a meeting with the bank manger because I didn't know how I was supposed to feed my children and pay my rent. They said it was out of their hands. So imagine my anger/delight when I found the Bank Action Group. I have used your templates to get the ball rolling except they have ignored me or told me the matter has been passed to someone else. I sent a formal request for my bank statements, they sent me a form to complete and sign. I had given them until the 17th A
