Up until today there were no signs or issues about parking on this road. It has a double yellow line along the majority of it but then it stops and there are no more lines, this is where myself and others park. It is not a main road, but it is fairly long and the road consists of a few factories on one side and a university on the other. Temporary no loading signs , yellow board with a blue circle and a single red line through it with the words "no loading", were erected. When reading the small print attached to a few of the signs stating the subsections and laws it also said 'Vehicles and prohibited from waiting and loading/unloading at anytime for the entire length of the road'. The reason given for was planned works. 'It is Intended that the road or roads will be restricted for the works planned from 08:00 until 18:30 hours on the 23rd February 2010 inclusive'. So i have 2 questions. Firstly if by parking where i usually do, where there are no lines but the temporary signs are up on all the lamp posts, am i in breach of the laws and thus can i be fined? Secondly judging by the sentence about why the restrictions were intended ^, does that mean after today at 18:30 the signs are no longer effective? Thanks for any help.
