  1. I have had a letter from a solicitor claiming to be acting from Marlin asking me if I know what the consequence will be if I don't pay £9400 immediately (in red) and they have told me to contact them or fill in the direct debit form to pay them on a monthly basis, and if I don't well, they will take me to court. Has anyone else had this?
  2. Fuzzbutt was the money awarded to you the costs, or is this still waiting?
  3. I was told I could study in London or Eastbourne. I subsequently found out as you did, that all classes were in Kidderminster.
  4. Yes we did. Sent them a letter saying we were in dispute and they stopped calling. No doubt only for a short time.
  5. Happy Easter to you too. Re. my last post about H L Legal, Apex have replied to my letter asking for DOA saying" Apex Credit Management are not the data holding branch and are therefore not obliged to supply the data you have requested, this information should be requested from our clients. Please contact our client directly for a copy of your credit agreement; I have enclosed your £1 postal order received for this data. Our clients address is detailed below: Barclaycard Partner Finance 9000 Academy Park Gower Street Glasgow G51 1PR Who's Barclaycard Partner Finance - have they changed their name? Does anyone have any advice about where to go next. Perhaps I should just send all the correspondence to the lawyers?
  6. I have had a Notice of Pending Legal Action from H L Legal and Collections, apparently on behalf of their client Apex Credit Management Limited,. They are demanding the outstanding sum PLUS all the interest. Unless they receive payment in the next seven days or a valid reason for non-payment they are going to take me to court. They are instructed not to enter into correspondence with me at this stage, but to refer me to Apex on the number stated. Has anyone else had this letter? Should I send a copy to Hausfeld? I am beginning to panic now as I have seen no posts here for quite a while. Where has everyone gone?
  7. Fuzzbutt Does this mean that if there are end dates then there is no chance?
  8. I also have a start and end date - 2 years - and my salesman said the same, that he was just putting the date on because the form required it, but I could extend it as many times as I liked by calling Advent and asking for it.
  9. When this first happened, the Advent announcement claimed that Advent held no funds, and that Barclays held all the money.
  10. I asked FOS to release me the documents from BPF and they replied saying that they had not relied upon documentation from BPF but from Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. "I would explain that in reaching a conclusion on this case I have not relied on the information provided to me by the business (Barclays Partner Finance) but I have relied on Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. As I have explained, Section 75 does not apply in this case because a Debtor-Creditor-Supplier link does not exist. For further information on the Consumer Credit Act or Section 75 I would recommend contacting the Office of Fair Trading or visit its website." My loan was taken out on behalf of my partner. Does anyone have any suggestions about how I should respond?
  11. I am in the same situation as you and am anxiously awaiting some news. Will send a letter to BPF requested a copy of the signed agreement and see what happens.
