  1. Thanks for your advice, much appreciated. Courier tried to deliver yesterday whilst we were out so will bear your advice in mind when signing for it when it is redelivered.
  2. Hi everyone - I purchased a car seat for my toddler online from Babytime London on 28th December. I paid using Mastercard and the payment was taken from the card the same day. A very good deal that included free delivery. Received a confirmation email straight away that the order was placed and another the day after on 29th Dec stating that 'You will receive the product by 10th of Jan 2010 due to Christmas and new year vacations' Received an email on the 9th Jan saying that as the weather conditions were bad all their stock had been held back and that it hadn't been sent out via courier. Still no delivery so emailed them on the 16th asking for an update and they replied "We have the stock in place. They had been packed and ready to dispatch. But unfortunately the delay is from the courier companies. We have tied up with different companies for prompt delivery. Due to the bad weather the operations were cancelled for 3 to 4 days continuously and that's where the problem started. There was huge queue of orders that has to be picked up from our office. Now we really trying hard to clear the queue and try to send as much as possible every day. Even today there was huge number of orders has been dispatched." I replied back stating that they seem to be breeching the Sales of Goods act that states 'the goods must be delivered within the time period they have specified'. They initially specified that the goods would be delivered by January 10th. I also asked for a refund if the order was not delivered within 7 days. Haven't heard back since and still no delivery. I understand that there is a statutory 30 day delivery limit whereby they must honour a refund if asked? Their website also states in the Delivery section that: Any date or period for delivery will be considered as indicative only, although it is our policy to try to fulfil orders within 2 working days. Large and heavy items and deliveries to remote or rural addresses may take longer to deliver. We cannot be held responsible for delays in the delivery caused by our suppliers or any other third party. Is there anything else that I can do? Thanks in advance. PS - Moral to the story is that for £5 more I could and should have bought from John Lewis.
