  1. Well to continue the off topic-ness (we were only talking about Excel, why not? ) the broken phone was a cordless so we're certainly doomed. Point taken re: emergencies but tbh I just can't see the point in continuing to use a landline phone when mobile providers throw that many inclusive minutes at you. I'll probably be saving about £20 per month. I could use what I've saved to pay off my parking 'fine'! Woohoo!
  2. I'm a bit further down the road with Excel than you fightback2010. Have a look at the thread I started earlier this year. I'm continuing to ignore and haven't heard anything in a little while though I feel in my water that I'm due another comedy letter. Idle threats. I was a little concerned about the possibility of phone calls to my house but that issue has now been solved by my home phone breaking and I'm not replacing it. No point with mobiles.
  3. Good to hear. Just read your previous posts, very amusing!
  4. Let's try and keep the tone friendly guys. magic_teacup has come here for advice don't forget. Keep in mind that other less enlightened individuals would have just got on the phone to Excel and asked them to sort the problem out.
  5. Did you ever get anywhere with the uninformed PC? No comebacks I know but I wondered if you been in touch.
  6. I notice there's a rather woolly reply to a letter in the Sunday Times 'In Gear' section re: PPCs today too. Question number four Car clinic A good responce in the comments though.
  7. Received letter #3. Final, final, not going to tell you again, come on, pay up demand. 14 days before SWAT come through my living room window.
  8. I know none of these are enforcable from the excellent information on here and I had come across the 50p argument too. I guess the penny hadn't dropped regarding the two 'types' of circumstance. I'm not making myself very clear but I guess what I'm saying is that there is even less chance of Excel having a pop at me. I know you guys always say not to worry but we do you know
  9. Yes, I'd happily move to North Korea to avoid Excel and their devious tactics.
  10. That's really interesting. I've never come across that bit of information on here before. Or I've not appreciated the difference between overstaying and parking without 'permission'.
  11. Best way is to join somewhere like Photobucket, it's free. Upload the image to Photobucket then paste the IMG code in the thread here.
  12. Well done green_and_mean. A point of view not often heard these days.
  13. I feel left out no longer. Finally received my second letter today. £100 within 14 days or they go ...tut... in my general direction. Sod's Law says it's the day after I uninstalled my scanner so atm I can't post up the actual letter. I will somehow though, it would be good to have the full set on here. I'm a little upset to read that I've lost the 'right' to appeal. I quite liked Excel telling me what rights I have. You know, a **** pot private company making money hand over fist employing minimum wage semi-retirees and preying on the general public's ignorance of their real rights. Rather than the rights earned over hundreds of years of struggle, eventual emancipation and specifically the right to not get shafted by these robbing b*****ds. Anyhoo, I'll keep you posted. I'm also quite sure that I'll be the one that ends up in court because that sort of **** always happens to me
  14. Care to share? Obviously without anything of a personal nature. A little worrying that bainbria may be facing a day in court.
  15. I'm starting to feel left out now. Still nothing from Excel
  16. What's the procedure for approaching the DVLA for vehicle/owner/keeper details? A letterhead and a Visa card? Has anyone tried?
  17. Here's a little bit of interesting off topicness... I've received a letter today from Peugeot Fleet with a PCN issued by CP Plus Limited enclosed. At the moment it's just for my records because CP Plus Limited will be contacting me directly as Peugeot have supplied them with my company details. It turns out one of my employees took a little unauthorised trip 50 miles down the motorway last weekend and left our vehicle parked in a motorway service car park all day. Now obviously everyone's gut reaction is to tell these jokers where to get off but I'd be interested to hear a few opinions on this one. Disciplinary issues aside, what would others do in my position? I'm not after advice, I'm just interested in other members views.
  18. Just what he said. The reference to an appeals process merely adds a veneer of respectability to their grubby business. And re: Netto. I would imagine they couldn't care less either and will probably just refer you back to Excel.
  19. It's the severity of the charge more than anything else. Then you find out from places like this how these businesses are run. Non-existant appeals procedures, fake solicitors, threats etc. Bugger that. That said, even though I'm now aware of these invoices and their dubious legal standing I would still continue to use and pay in these car parks. Not paying at all with a 'do your worst' attitude would be wrong imo. Stick to your guns dingle! and I'll keep you up to date. I'll have a small wager that your partner would be straight on here if he did get one of these tickets
  20. Hey dingle Keep an eye on my thread http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/parking-traffic-offences/243450-yet-another-plea-help.html I'm a few weeks ahead of you and waiting for my second letter. You'll know what to expect then.
