  1. HI There, Was wondering if anyone could answer a couple of questions for me. I Have been offered work as a Taxi Driver aslong as i get my license I have been unemployed for 6 months + and have been advised about the ADF from the Jobcentre. Popped in there today with regards to funds available to get my license, and the system was "Down". Iwas wondering if the Jobcentre ADF would pay for my Medical Assesment which is necessary. The Application fee and the CRB check. I Have an appointment with the Dr tomorrow, but can't afford to pay the money up front unless i am sure that i will be able to claim it back from the Jobcentre. Thanx for any answers/advice offered Regards Andy
  2. Hi, I Was wondering if anyone could help/advise me. I am currently making a joint claim with my partner, I am on Income based JSA and my partner is on Contribution based JSA. My query is this: My partner is due to go onto Maternity allowance in a few weeks (probably the full rate £124 per week). Am i able to make a fresh claim for JSA as a single claim or do we both have to live on the Maternity allowance? Hope this makes sense. Thanx Clipper
  3. Hi, She is on SSP and has been since she went onto sick leave. Regards Clipper
  4. Hi There, What happened was: My Girlfriend ws dismissed back in June, and was paid less than 8 weeks pay in lieu of notice. It was actually a mistake by the company and was her sister's monthly salery paid into her account. They stated that rather than re-claim the money from the bank account they were going to leave it there, and pay the remainder (upto 8 wks pay) into her account. However, within 2 weeks of the dismissal notice, and being paid the money, she was re-instated on appeal. She then went onto long-term sick leave with Work related stress within a few weeks of being re-instated. Do they have the right to claim the money back (having paid out before the appeal process had been completed) And do they now have the right to withold 12 days holiday pay, stating that they are unwilling to pay with this "outstanding amount" remaining unpaid? Thanx for any help/advice Clipper1971
  5. Hi There, New to this forum but i was hoping that someone could please help me. My Girlfriend was diamissed a while back and was paid in lieu of notice. She won her job back on appeal and has been off work since with stress. The company has stated that she must pay the money back (notice pay). Firstly we would like to know if this is correct, can my girlfriends employer ask for this money back, even though they had paid the notice pay before the Appeal was heard. Also, my girlfriend is owed 12 days holiday pay, and the company are stating that they are not willing to pay these holidays as she owes this outstanding amount. Can they actually do that? Thank you in advance for any help/advice Regards Clipper1971
