  1. Sorry my question wasn't clear. I did mean the defendant's address, but it seems you've cleared that up. Many thanks.....
  2. I have had a search, but can't find anything. Looking for the address to send the MCOL claim to. If anyone has this info, it would be rather handy! I also need to know what I do with a moneyclaim, with respect to a small amount that Nationwide credited my account with as a good will gesture. I did formally reject it, but I do need to subtract this from my claim. I presume this needs to be mentioned in the text?
  3. Not sure if anyone else is listening, but they have been featuring bank charge refunds over the past hour. The expert involved is from a similar website to this, albeit the site not being anywhere near as comprehensive. Anyway, he has said, in reference to claiming back credit card charges, that due to the OFT notice, to only claim back the differential between your charge and the £12 guideline figure. Is there any truth to this? I can't see it personally....
  4. Funnily enough, I have just finished reading yours! Thanks for all your help people....
  5. Not new to this bank charge reclamation stuff, having reclaimed all of mine, with huge thanks owed to this forum! However, I am helping my mother through with hers and have run up against an obstacle I haven't encountered before. Her charges add up to a rather large £4000+ which in itself is not a problem. However, anticipating that any offer will be ridiculous, and that she/I will be rejecting said offers, what do we do when it gets to the claim stage? With APR at 8%, this will push the total amount being claimed over the 5k mark, and if I'm correct, will move it away from the court track I want to keep it in. I've searched the forum but can't find anything on this problem - any advice?
  6. So I sent off the prelim letter, and got the most unexpected response today........ They've sent me my statements free of charge. I didn't ask for my statements, as I already have them all, and therefore wouldn't have been able to calculate the amount owed if I didn't have them. Unless of course, this is simply the standard response......... Do I simply follow up with the action letter as normal?
  7. Since this is the third post I've written this evening, I'll keep it brief. Looking through my statements was horrifying! A Late Fee, followed by an Overlimit Fee nearly every month............. and then of course, when I had managed to clear outstanding amounts.... they increased my limit! Irresponsible spending, or irresponsible lending? Either way, I have over £1000 of charges incurred since 2001, so I am on the case to get them back. I have followed the library letters, and await a response with due anticpation!
  8. Out of my three claims that I am putting in at three different banks, RBS is the one that has me most wound up. Thank god for this site, as it has reaffirmed my faith in humanity! Now to tackle my RBS claim! At an exact figure of £900 over 5 years, I was horrified to see DDs being attempted twice in one day, and the snowballing effect that occured as a direct result of being charged for initially bouncing a DD for £7.99! Fortunately, I have ALL my statements, so prelim letter primed and ready to be sent tomorrow morning. From what I have read so far on the site, especially re: RBS, I expect a fight with this one.........
  9. At the risk of being unoriginal, I've got some charges on my account to reclaim! It's not a huge amount of money at just shy of £400, and certainly Nationwide do appear to behave slightly better than my other bank (RBOS) who like to attempt DD withdrawals twice a day! However, and even though I am the world's biggest sceptic, you cannot ignore the weight of evidence that surrounds this issue, so here I go! I understand all of the procedures - the step by step guide is remarkably concise and well written, but the only question that remains is who to address my provisional letter to, and where to send it? I'm guessing the manager of my local branch? Will certainly keep this post updated......... How heartwarming to see that the people do still have a little power through strength in number!
