  1. Today I opened a letter from Red Debt chasing a debt they had from their client Lowell Financial, which had been forwarded via the post office as I have recently moved.. but it was for my ex-husband... (the PO forwarding sticker on the envelope obscured his name, so I naturally thought the post was for me)... I have been divorced from him for over nine years, and he has never lived at the address that the letter was sent... I certainly have nothing to do with any debts he may have run up - and get nothing from him financially or have any joint property or accounts etc.. He lives in a different part of the UK, and I only see him once a year when he bothers to see our kids... (again, I receive nothing from him).. I am staggered that the debt company can write to him at my (previous) home address! When I rang them they told me that as I had been linked with him in the past, they had added my address to their contact list, but would take it off.. but would not confirm that this had been done in writing... Can they do this? Link me with his debts after all this time (or any time come to think of it!)? I am no so worried that this will affect my credit rating, which I have spent the last nine years clearing after all the problems he caused me during our marriage (he left me with two kids and £15k of debts which I paid off five years ago after a lot of hard work!)... Can any one tell me how to prevent this in the future too? Cheers Jules
