I did mention that in post #13 I hope they can help. HB

Before you contact the FOS, you need to have made a formal complaint to Savills. If you haven't reached a resolution with them after two months, then you can contact the ombudsman. I imagine restitution is one option. The FOS have a section on their website where they show previous cases, from memory. You could read those to get an idea. HB

Please try to re-read your thread when you're feeling calm because I don't think what we've told you so far is making sense to you yet. RLP are not the police and they can't do anything to you. They might write scary letters but you can ignore them. They also can't take you to court because they haven't lost any money. Only a criminal record has to go on your DBS check and you haven't been anywhere near a court, have you? Only Waitrose could start a court case and after a case years ago in Oxford, no retailer that we know of has gone to court. Once again, the police are not coming and RLP don't go to people's houses, they just write. No reason to worry about the doorbell. Sadly this is all a consequence of you deciding to shoplift but if you stop doing it now, you shouldn't have any problems. HB

That's awful, Ethel, how are people meant to get help? HB

HB - all sorts of issues have been in court; the main one re repo remains in court, no resolution. They all stem really from bad advice by broker. Indeed, but if the Ombudsman is prepared to accept the complaint, it would be about the advice given by the broker and their paperwork, wouldn't it? You seem to be asserting that the problems you've had stem from their bad advice. HB
