  1. I have just pulled off both reports and they both show different information. Which report is more accurate and used most often y creditors. Equifax reports that I have two accounts defulted. This is incorrect and both are settled. There is also an account registered from 2002 which was settled in 2005 still showing on my report, with late payment history from December 02. Should this still be on my file? It rightly states that I had a CCJ in 2006 which has been paid. On a positive note it shows that I my o2 contract is being paid every month on time. My Equifax credit rating is really low due to these defaults and late payment history from 2002. I have not paid anything late in the last 5 years. Credit expert from experion rightly shows no defaults and payment history as upto date. The report doesn't show my mobile phone contract (which i wish it would as this is positive) and it does not show my CCJ. I dont want a CIFAS and do disclose my CCJ when i apply for credit. How can I remove the defaults on the equifax report? The DCA's are telling me all is upto date from their end, on the experion report they are correct. I would appreciate any help on sorting these files out. Many Thanks
  2. Thanks, I guess Rockewell is now is closed case. I called NCO on 08709030957 asking why my file has not been updated to show the debt as settled. The chap I spoke to was useless. He just said I will speak to someone and they will look into this. I insited on taking his managers name. If I have settled this debt it's a breach of the agreement if they do not update my file right? Thames credit were helpful and asked me to fax the report and they will update this on line. I'll send that today or should i hold off? In 2002 I lost my job, got into a lot of debt and had nowhere to live. I'm on my feet again trying to keep up with paying it al back ever since. I'm drained out with dealing with the likes of NCO. So sorry with all my questions. I really am lost. Thanks for all the help.
  3. I just called Rockwell who have told me that even I'd the debt is statute barred I still need to clear the debt. I have refused and asked for this in writing I fear the money I have paid them since April is lost. Ok now I'll call NCO and thames credit. Thank you all for your help!!!
  4. The last payment I made to hbos was in dec 02. To Rockwell called me in May 09 forcing me to pay them. I had no contact from hbos during this time. Rockwell have made me pay £1100 of £6000 already. On my credit report this is not shown as a default. Can claim the rest of the money now I've made forced payments? Also I cleared a debt with nco in august 09 & it's still on my file as default. I'm gutted paying then if my report is still negative. I'm in a right mess as you can see.
  5. Great I will check my file again. I have aplied for a job in HR within a bank. I'm told they run pre employment credit checks..
  6. If a loan is now Statute Barred, would this show up as default on your credit file after 6 years? Thanks
  7. Thanks. Yeah i will see what they do next. I was firm in not parting with any money on the phone but i'm sure some people do based on their threats. NCO I hear are just as bad!
  8. Thanks I will give it a try if we hear from them again.
  9. I had a really strange call today at my mother house not mine from Robinson Way. My mother has had her new number for 6 months and it's ex directory. Somehow they traced her number and asked for me. I called them back and they claimed I owe them £38.50 for a next directory account passed to them in 2005 (I've not lived here since April 2003) at this address. I have no knowledge of this and the only Next account I had was set up in May 2005 was cleared in Jan 2007 at another address. The lady was very rude and said if I dont pay today they will take legal action against me. I asked her to send me proof of this debt in writing as I'm not giving my debit card details over the phone when I have no idea what the debt is or who they are. I was very upset as was my mother as to how they found her number. I called back and spoke to a chap to ask them not to call my family in future. They have sent no letter and can not just call demanding money. He told me he will close the account at the balance it so small to take further action. I'm not sure what to think, have had nothing in writing yet to confirm this. I'm worried they may keep calling my family (I have given my mobile number) or turn up at my parents house. My mother is very distressed debt collectors may turn up at her door. If they traced her number I guess they have her address to. Can they turn up at another person house? Should they even have given the company name when they called, before they knew they were talking to me? These this should be private right? What can they do? How can I make sure they get off my back. I don't mind paying the money, I just don't want to pay for a debt I have no knowledge of. If he has closed this account I should be fine but dont trust anything over the phone. Any advice please? Many Thanks
