  1. I think I have got the agreement but not all of the statements. I realise I will have to put through a SAR to get all the info.
  2. Hi, probably been asked a lot but I'm unsure on time limits for PPI claims with Welcome. I bought a car through Yes Car credit in 2001. The finance was through Welcome and part of the agreement for buying the car was to take out all the insurance policies as that would garauntee me the finance, an obvious misell from what I now know. I paid the entire loan off without default in 2006 but am only now aware of the possibility of being able to claim PPI back due to misselling. Can I claim it back seeing as it was so long ago and after the 2005 realisation by the FSCS?
  3. thanks booky, put my mind at rest a bit
  4. Hi guys and gals, need a bit of advice Had a DCA ttake me to court over Credit card charges for Monument. to cut a long story short I submitted a defence on the basis that the charges were unlawful etc etc but the court has written to me today to say that a judgement has been made against me. I submitted an allocation questionaire and stupidly it was last minute is there anything I can do to recover the situation
  5. becks I seem to be having a problem replying to pm's but the answer is yes with pleasure
  6. well last Saturday I wrote an email to the whole crew..then another on Sunday and I was about to write one on monday when I noticed a reply from Clare ..she made me an offer of £8750 when I asked for £9018 and I accepted...partly because as I was preparing everything I noticed I had acyually put the court costs of 250 on twice...oops so in reality it was settled just 18 short of the full amount. Clare was very nice and posted the cheque Monday afternoon it arrived Tuesday and cleared today. Didn't want to pre empt any bad luck so kept quiet...however I have been very busy booking electricians, damp proof specialists and planning a new kitchen after they both rip all my plaster and current kitchen out...then today bought a HUGE telly a Wii ordered some parts for my lads bike a new sofa a few computer bits a new monitor for the kids and paid a couple of bills.....put a bit away for a rainy day too. The funny thing was my bank rang me on Friday and said...we notice you have paid a large amount of money in your account and wondered what you intend to do with it?...Can we make an appointment for our savings manager to talk to you...lol So thanks everyone...survey completed and donation made

  8. Yorkshire bank will not disclose...the whistle blower has evidence to prove that their charges are no more than £2. If it disclosed it would be suicide. They will settle and pay the wasted costs order it is far cheaper.
  9. OK sent a few more emails but in particular one from my Outlook account so that I could put a read receipt and track it. I sent it to [email protected] [email protected] [email protected] and [email protected] I got an out of office from Ronan, unfortunately he has suffered a family bereavement poor chap and a delivery message from BCT but no delivery or read receipt after 24 hours from louise or Inga's address. Think I'll try again with the abbey addresses.
  10. I believe it is the Abbey bosses that are dictating the style of defence and delay tactics. To be honest I would probably get more sense from Ashursts than Abbey. Jules thanks for the info...I phoned the court today regarding the phone hearing and was advised that Ashursts have to arrange all the details for a telephone conference call and foot the bill. Tey must also provide the dial in information in a timely manner and the court suggested I contact them to get this information as soon as possible. I consequently sent a further email which suprise suprise still has no reply.......Talk about ignorant and unprofessional.
  11. The BBC has picked it up now BBC NEWS | Business | Bank to face penalty fees D-Day
  12. No I didn't, got stuck at work so it was too late. Getting a bit cheesed off with Inga and Co as I have written several emails trying to negotiate on the back of all these settlements that seem to be coming through and got absolutely no reply whatsoever. Tried ringing but just get answerphone. Getting really cheesed off at the moment as people who haven't even got to AQ stage are getting settled. I am even prepared to settle for a fair bit less at the moment due to circumstances.
  13. well I emailed Ronan and still no reply...was hopeful of something as other people with hearing dates around mine have managed to get responses and settlements....getting a bit miffed now....and jealous might give him a call tomorrow
  14. looks like Inga is on a long weekend break as I received an out of office reply 4 hours laters says she was off from Thursday 28th until Tuesday 2nd....recharging her batteries no doubt
  15. No not a dickie bird but then again I wouldn't expect to for at least 2 weeks. I will be handing my N244 in on Monday as I don't have any funds until tomorrow. I'm hoping and praying for a cheque that will clear by the 29th of July as there is a huge bike show on that I want to go to and buy lots of goodies at.... I can hope although I'm scared that it might make me settle for a bit less when I really need a bit more.....lol Becs, as long as you haven't been allocated to small claims then I would recommend trying the strategy, there is nothing to lose. If you have already been allocated to small claims then potentially you could be refused.
  16. good luck Fi although that order is pretty much the same as your CPR part 18 and demands similar information from Abbey so I would say a settlement is imminent
  17. Congratulations Ooo I hope mine comes through soon as mine is the 24th July
  18. It would clearly state if it was a telphone hearing.
  19. check to see if its a telephone hearing if so they have to arrange it and they wont and no they have never turned up
